QUOTE(Elite_Anbu @ Aug 6 2007, 07:25 PM) Your ram default vdimm is 1.8v right??? If i am not mistaken, your ram is 800Mhz at CL4. 2.0v is a bit too high at the speed and timing you currently achieve now if default vdimm is 1.8v Other settings should be no problem. Bro, oc somemore. Brisby is nice to oc. Overclock until 2.9Ghz -pWs- This post has been edited by -pWs-: Aug 6 2007, 09:12 PM |

1. I think u can check Vdimm n Vcore through your Asus Monitoring Program.
2. Cannot tell you exactly due to different hardwares yield different results. Remember to Orthos for around 8 hours to ensure stability. If not stable, it is either not enough Vdimm or Vcore. There are a lot of reasons why the system is not stable, but basically is like that. 3. A lot of reasons. If no oc, got cold boot? 4. What is the version of your corsair ram? There is a label on top of the ram. You can check it in one website, dunno where though Remember to keep the HTLink under 1000Mhz to ensure stability. -pWs- |

QUOTE(capriodimitri @ Aug 7 2007, 10:10 AM) Oh, thanks a lot for super quick reply. I can check V-core but didnt see V-dimm, is there any third party software? My mobo, ASUS M2N32 Sli Deluxe should able to run 1600mhz HT in stability. I do not have power on issue when I OC to 2.3GHZ, only when I up to 2.4GHZ from Bus speed 220 to 230. Better manual set your Vcore. If I put my vcore to auto, will it increase automatically to adjust its speed? Or I should put manual? One of the computer shop offer me CM Aquagate Liquid cooling for both CPU and GPU for just RM399. Damn cheap as it is old model (those that can sit internally by occupying 2 bays). However, it just mention it support up to AMD 940 socket, I am not sure if AM2 can be supported. As far as I know, AM2 and 940 is not the same one. Better buy with AM2 supported cooler For the vdimm, I have no idea which software can show already. In bios, I think you can view it at the hardware monitoring page. -pWs- |

Full details of your rig pls?Sometimes (seldom though), I restart computer, it shows (the black screen) in safe mode, Press F9 to continue, it revert back to 1900Mhz... I put at 250Mhz, & adjust the HT to 4X. make sure it is 1000Mhz range. Disable Cool & Quiet. Set RAM at 533Mhz. (I m using Kingston 667 Dual Channel) I m using Biostar Geforce 6100, and Acbel I-Power 450W. PSU not enough Power ? How to check system stability beside Nvidia ? Your ram is it plug near to the cpu? QUOTE(Irresistible @ Aug 7 2007, 11:43 AM) My RAM not put near the CPU... already put as far as I can!! I do not see any problem for your overclock setting. What HT/ RAM divider ? I just set my RAM to 533Mhz in BIOS, though my RAM is 667Mhz. But, after OC, the RAM is 533 X 1.25 =667Mhz... My Kingston RAM can not OC one, it will automatically restart computer if I put 667Mhz x 1.25 = 833Mhz MY rig: Biostar Geforce 6100 AM2 Kingston 667 1 GB x 2 Acbel I POwer 450W GAlaxy 8500 GE Dell 19" Wide Screen Monitor Here one suggestion for u. Try to plug the ram to the nearest slot to the CPU. After that, try to oc again. -pWs- |

This is what i gained from my last overclock with my Windsor 38.I m confused noe... Bro, you overclock, the processor and ram also hot what, right? -pWs- This post has been edited by -pWs-: Aug 7 2007, 02:00 PM |

QUOTE(Elite_Anbu @ Aug 7 2007, 05:41 PM) hi it seem my rig cannot go anymore... i try to Oced 2850mhz... at Vcore 1.32v n Vdimm 1.8v{default}.... this time my pc suddently shut down.... its seem quite hot.... Try to add Vcore one more step. I think your processor not enough juice to run at 2850MHz. [attachmentid=274259] For the core temp, you cannot trust on it. Brisbane's DTS is spoilt. -pWs- |

QUOTE(slash @ Aug 8 2007, 04:59 PM) wat other stuff need to turn off, other than cpu spread spectrum? Disable Cool n Quiet too.how under the ram options. like DRAM extra strength? my vcore is 1.325v, vdimm 2v. 2.9ghz(300x9.5), ddr533 divider. orthos for 30mins ok, but play granado espada and watch quake4 demos at the same time, pc restarted. up vcore again? For DRAM extra strength, leave it as default. Orthos at least 8 hours. 30 mins is not enough to test stability. Yes, since your ram is around 415MHz (I assume you use the same timing as SPD), then just add one step of Vcore -pWs- This post has been edited by -pWs-: Aug 8 2007, 05:04 PM |

QUOTE(Irresistible @ Aug 8 2007, 10:47 PM) I m using Prime95... Prime95 u need 2 clients only can stress fully your CPU.Added on August 8, 2007, 10:52 pm YA, I undestand.... Now, my RAm is 352 x 2= 704 Mhz (I am using DDR2 667), Slight clock shouldn't be a problem for my Kingston value RAM , right ?? Should I put it at 2.0 V or just left it at 1.9V for DDR voltage ? For ram, slight oc should not be a problem. Even you want to hardcore also can Is it the timing same with the spd value? -pWs- |

My fsb seems to get unstable anywhere above 260mhz. So far Ive tried by putting multi x5, lowering ram to ddr400and turned off c n q. Anythin else I aint doing right? Ram position.Try to plug your ram to the nearest slot of the cpu if u do not. If you already done that, still cannot overclock, try to change the position of the ram. -pWs- |

QUOTE(joe_star @ Aug 10 2007, 11:22 AM) Ok......figured out the prob. This board needs to pump the chipset voltage Mind to give us see some screenshots?Hmm....but now got another issue. Wen i 1st clocked it to 2.6ghz it would hang after posting(while loading windows) and even hang at post. No matter how much i pump voltage it wud still do dat. However after i reset to lower settings and pump voltage then fsb, it works perfectly. Could be my bios or smth? -pWs- This post has been edited by -pWs-: Aug 10 2007, 04:58 PM |
