it requires more voltage compared when i oced with my 570U.. sad.gif
and restart/BSOD often appeared..i wonder why  sad.gif

regarding of what u replied earlier, i dun think its a bad hardware combination  smile.gif
maybe there are some setting that i need to tweak more..

TA690G user with same BIOS like me, perhaps u can share ur 3.0GHz setting?  smile.gif
thanks

TF7050 would be my choice, but you can try TA690G as well. Personally i prefer nvidia chipset mobo coz i've trusted nvidia so far and it has nv fail me b4 smile.gif

p/s: wow, just realized that there are many people using biostar mobo. Maybe next time we can form  'LYN Tforce LAN Party' or 'Biostar OC Rig show off party'............ thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif

yee nice point haha... ><

btw my TF6100am2 cannot make my thrist go away for more ram speed...

haiz...maybe i'll get a TA690G... rolleyes.gif

My RAM not put near the CPU... already put as far as I can!!

What HT/ RAM divider ? I just set my RAM to 533Mhz in BIOS, though my RAM is 667Mhz. But, after OC, the RAM is 533 X 1.25 =667Mhz...

My Kingston RAM can not OC one, it will automatically restart computer if I put 667Mhz x 1.25 = 833Mhz

MY rig: Biostar Geforce 6100 AM2
              Kingston 667 1 GB  x 2
              Acbel I POwer 450W

Need to confirm, DDR voltage =  vdimm  ?
MAximum from Bios is 2.0 V, but it normal set at 1.9V

Why u said set DDR 400 suit me ??

That means I need to underclock my RAM by so much? DDR volatage max is 2.0 V

My Bios got one setting, near the Cool & Quiet.  Got "Visualisation", need to turn off or not ?

Where to turn off CPU spread Spectrum ? In BIOS where ? Advanced Chipset featres ?

test the system stability with Orbhto ? What is that ?

I plan to just do OC till 2500Mhz with my Biostar Geforce 6100 using default core (1.3V), should be OK, right ?
*
cauz if u were to oc to 2500,
ur ram will sure be runing above 667Mhz wif other divider...
n 2.0V can't do anything...
if got 2.2V will be nice...
n yea...
ddr400 to test out ur proc's best...
then oni u find the highest ur ram can go...

Ok......figured out the prob. This board needs to pump the chipset voltage  doh.gif Never had to do that with my old neo4 platinum. Pushed it til fsb 300 stable  rclxms.gif

Hmm....but now got another issue. Wen i 1st clocked it to 2.6ghz it would hang after posting(while loading windows) and even hang at post. No matter how much i pump voltage it wud still do dat. However after i reset to lower settings and pump voltage then fsb, it works perfectly. Could be my bios or smth?
*
yea might be...
jz find the bez bios 4 ur mobo then its perfect... thumbup.gif

i would like to share this joy with fellow LYN am2 OCers laugh.gif

DDR2 1200MHz achieved with Biostar TF7050-M2!! (a m-atx mobo laugh.gif )

vcore=1.47v (ignore it, it is extra pumped laugh.gif )
vdimm= 2.44v thumbup.gif
Ram = Crucial PC2 6400 2X512MB (D9GKX ram chipset)
Ram frequecy: 1200MHz
Timings = 5-5-5-15-2T

[attachmentid=278889]

CPU-Z validation: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=229504
Please don't ask me to prime it as it is not stable yet. I'm still figuring how to set those ram sub-timings in BIOS and also memset in windows in order to make it stable laugh.gif

i already stop trying polygon's modded bios for a while as i've realized that most of his modded bios for TF6100am2 did not play a good role in temperature sensing. With his modded bios, i couldn't use the biostar hardware monitor to detect the temperature accurately. Of coz , i only try his TF6100am2's BIOS b4 and it was long time ago. smile.gif

already pushed to 2.45Ghz.higher than that not stable. limited by my Vdimm..
i think will stop here for a while. this speed should be enough for my 24/7 usage...later if my hand starting itchy again, will get better mobo and also brisby.. thumbup.gif

i think u can change mobo n push ur proc to the max 1st...
cuz really curios how high ur proc can go...
i nvr go more than 2.5, too hot...
