Wheel sometimes give you bad results i.e. resources. Unless you have yet to summon Khan, then try to get some gems.

I had dilemma too previously between T5 (castle) and VIP12 (2 gold head) and I don't know whether I've chose the correct path. At last, I've chosen castle over everything else and after 3 months of speedup saving, I finally got my first T5 cavalry. But now I wanna go back to VIP12 ASAP to enhance my current commanders.

There is no right or wrong of the decision, just chase your dream/goal.

My previous dream is to get at least one T5 then quit the game (I'm joking). But now I'm looking forward to more gold heads.

If I choose to go VIP12 first, I probably stop most of the big research at lv9 (including inf, cav, arch, combined arm, medical, encampment) which is not a bad thing too. I will have a more stable military and 2 gold heads everyday.

But these spread researches required a lot of time and speedup too. And I probably can't even max a legendary commander; 3 months x 30 days x 2 heads= 180 gold heads.

I know that the newest commanders of same type will overwrite the old one else no one even invest on them i.e. Saladin/Khan > Mina/Cao2, Edward/Tomyris > Elcid/YSG, but I'm not high spender. And now Attila/Takeda's performance still unknown. So, I probably stick to old commanders. Richard is still relevant even though Alex/Constantine have came out.

I'd chose to go T5 path 3 months ago with more than 150K of gems, in which I put all the books and continued my researches. But with VIP12 for 3 months, it won't bring me anywhere. 150K of gems invested in castle is like 150 gold heads in card kings and can't expertise any commander. If added TWO gold heads a day (180 in total), probably near maxing for ONE existing commander. I don't know, the path already chosen no turning back.

Now I will find way to go VIP12.

People say VIP12 have additional 5% research speed which bring the difference to 2% only. Probably I've chosen the wrong path but no regret as I already achieved the impossible (as f2p/low spender). But as time goes by, this impossible goal will be achievable by everyone.

If you are new, get everything from gold keys first. Remember to max the first skill of legendary commanders except Cleo and Sundeok. Spend gem on VIP then castle (if you going toward T5 or further researches). Remember to buy monthly gem, growth fund, and write of history.
