QUOTE(Exodius @ Nov 1 2018, 06:52 PM) Will additional unit be credited every month? Or is it a yearly basis? Wanted to know if ASNB dividend is by monthly or yearly basis . Or it’s pro rata all the way until the dividend date announcement . dividend yearly and pro-rate till dividend date..If this is the case means I can’t withdraw anything until 1 September for my ASM2 or else all my dividend will perish? only loss dividend for whatever amount withdrawn... basically, it uses monthly lowest amount to calculate dividend... |

Whatever the Budget outcome...just go through each and every point and look for any ‘gold’ which could benefit u and your family..this what i do every year...
What i got from last Budget - RM500 bonus fr SSPN Geran Sepadan for 7-12 yrs kids (still not too late, still available) - 15% (RM250 cap) from EPF SP1M for self-employed, working overseas and home-manager. - AS1M 30k Indian allocation (which I didn’t utilize in full since I prefer ASW) Lets look any this time...will share if anything relevant to this forum... |

QUOTE(DBHILUHDAQWISRTNJ @ Nov 2 2018, 01:43 PM) I think quantity of holder not that important , cause many of them never top up after create account . Indian usually invest in property, gold and FD...also many into Insurance company endowment saving plan and Unit Trust...ASNB still an ‘alien’ for a large Indian...i tried to convince many about this hidden gem...but 99% end up to deaf ear... |

QUOTE(roy_zu @ Nov 2 2018, 03:02 PM) Have to agree with this one. Tried to get some of my close friends to invest in ASX but literally none did. FD only help you to fight the inflation rate and gold pretty useless if looking into growing investment. When i was 27 yrs, i plan to buy newly soft launched apartment which beside LRT station...asked my close friend to buy due to location and its still in soft launch. Finally only me bought. Now the rental return is 11% and capital gain is almost 200%.Last year told him about ASNB...thousand excuses and condeming govt funds... Majority Malaysian mindset...u need to work to earn money and they don’t think how to make money work for us... very less Malaysian could think how inflation eating our money...and how to keep money above inflation This post has been edited by veera77: Nov 2 2018, 03:25 PM |

QUOTE(klchoy @ Nov 5 2018, 09:55 AM) Quick check. If I want to open Asnb account for my kid, purpose is to buy FP funds via online, what should be the best fund to buy to start? MBB told me to get Adam 50 account remaja and link it to my account. Not sure if I could get other FP for my kid later since her account will be linked to mine For kids account, all three FP must open at counter. So, when go to counter, better open all three FP and keep...later easy to top up whatever available FP fund. Also do I need to open a SA for her to do online transactions or I could just use mine? Yes all kids account must be link to eirther one parent account. No need to open SA for kids...u can top up from parent account and even from anyone account. * Important reminder : upon kids reaching 18yrs, kids account automatically will be upgraded to adult account. Further on, parent could not withdraw or have no control over their kids account. This post has been edited by veera77: Nov 5 2018, 11:56 AM |

Talking about kids saving.
In Budget 2019, SSPN saving tax relief increased from RM6,000 to RM8,000 per year. You could save more tax money plus get some dividend. Usually SSPN dividend much lower than ASx. This post has been edited by veera77: Nov 5 2018, 01:06 PM |

QUOTE(Mattrock @ Nov 5 2018, 01:44 PM) Easy to get ASM3 today. I suppose many Indians selling for Deepavali tomorrow. Even though I am happy to collect more, I can't help thinking that some of those disposing may be forfeiting future returns and security, for brief celebrations, even though celebrating is important too.. Whether Deepavali or not...ASM3 always very easy to get for Indian...thats we said 1.5billion allocation by previous govt is a purely political gimmick..This post has been edited by veera77: Nov 5 2018, 02:09 PM |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Nov 5 2018, 03:13 PM) Well of all the things done by previous regime.. yes some Indian transferred their FD in to ASM3 during this 30k promo...but sadly many Indian still don't want to believe that govt fund could give 6% return...let them in their dream world.. Special allocation for Indians is one of the good thing they done.. But should done more for others too like loans to buy ASx fund for B40 groups.. Similar to ASB loans with low interest rate 🙏 also there was 5k interest-free for B40 Indian...but u need to apply through SEDIC which is controlled by MIC...therefore you just could forget about it....MIC will give to their friend/relatives.. on bigger picture, yes agree with you...ASNB should allow B40 (for all races) to get low-interest loan to buy ASx...or deposit the BSH (BR1M) into ASx rather than bank in....since ASNB just need IC and u can withdraw in any major bank.... QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Nov 5 2018, 04:16 PM) that being said, if you are in B40, i suppose there are many financial issues of concern before being able to put in for investment. yes B40 usually struggle to meet their basic needs...formal investment very far from their sight...for B40, the most important thing they looking for from govt is not cash money but their kids tertiary education...so that the next generation of B40 could upgrade themself to M40 at least..tertiary education should be free for all qualified B40 kids ! thats is should be the real capital investment by govt on Malaysian |
