Majority of the holders are 漢人 and those I know are grateful to PNB/ASN for 5.5%. Why would they sell, unless they need money?

the only reason I'm still here is because I still wasn't able to finish spending on ASM2 and ASM3 (Not easy but also not too difficult. I just focused on ASM2 which sounds like a mistake. ASM3 sounds easy today). Otherwise I also goodbye already.

Error 100 = Rejected = don't let you buy
Error 068 = habuk pun tarak

Now less confusing than last time because last time don't know really suspended or no one selling.

I think when people redeem, ASN keep them. Accumulate and open gate 1 shot. Now question is whether they still have leftovers or not. Banks can close, but ASN can sell whatever they have.

Yes my lord. I started buying ASM2 the moment I see Error 100. but not much luck, so a lot of time wasted. By 2pm+ only I switch to ASM3.

My humble pie is odd one out. 67% ASM 2, 25% ASM 1, 8% ASM 3.

I also felt like that last month. After today, really enough of catchas. Literally spent entire day catcha'ing until gate opened.

Speaking of the VP fund, I lost more 1money after dividend than before dividend. No wonder people 3 years barely break even.

Haha I thought all the 前輩 who couldn't buy ASM 1 end up buying ASM 3. I have higher ASM 2 because of the sale, probably same case like you.

Haha no way focus on ASM3. I only focus on ASM3 by 2.30pm today to avoid losing 1 moon's dividend. Otherwise I'm happy to settle with majority ASM2.

I didn't build up my ASM2 from the last sale la. A bit from last week (as much as I want to reserve bullet for today, I don't want to fight with everyone to buy today if ASM1 not available) and today.

I think lah, there's a lot of speculation going on with this fund that no one really knows. I don't think they need to do all the funny things lah. I just think there are not many people selling and ASN just buy-in when people sells. Then sell it off one shot by opening the floodgate.

Yes. Almost equivalent with property. But 250k is really big back then.

no lah. If you include all those inflation, feels like just enough to cover only. That's why you see the rich do business or trade KLSE to get richer, not buy trust funds.

The problem with VP fund is, you need a very good market performance to make 1money, I think. You can't really earn from dividends because the price will go ex-dividend after giving out dividend, so you don't earn anything extra.

If KLSE keeps going up, then you can make 1money from VP funds.

Where got so much return. If KLCI go up 3-4% per annum then only can get positive return la.

Come to think of it, that's why all those mutual funds keep showing their 7-8% returns. Potong commission and ex-dividend, probably negative. That's why I never bothered although they keep showing me their charts. If not to simplify opening ASN account, I won't even buy this VP fund I have.

I think as long as you don't sell everything off, then you are entitled. If you sell everything off, your account also closed, so no dividend.

General rule of thumb I learned from my friend - when banks look for you, no need entertain. Only goto bank to take money from them (i.e. loans).

Do you understand how the pricing works? What is happening is, for example, 1000 units x 1.08 before dividend, so you have $1080 worth of investment. After dividend, it become something like 1100 units x 0.98, so you get $1078, almost no difference.

If KLCI go up 10%, then the price will go up around 10% (just example, I think in reality, it goes up less) and you make money from your VP fund.
