Just called the local ASNB and spoke to the manager.

* still no update from MS on the 2 regulations enforcement.
* when asked on how these 2 regulations will impact the funds, stated the FP to VP!
* advised me not to worry as there are many many many malaysians involved and the repercussion will be huge.

Remember the earlier thread on my call to ASNB HQ and the lady said whether they change  or not will depend on what is stated in the prospectus (quoting the earlier case with one ASB fund)?

I did say do not that for granted and I am not liable for the outcome. 

So, please dont kill this messenger. Do your own due diligence.

Pay using reserves isn't a problem, the keyword for TH is negative reserves.

If anyone not happy with reserves, can always buy UT or variable price fund, high transparency, no need to worry money don't know goes to where.

If you want all those info, buy UT or variable price fund, as simple as that.

Why don't you benchmark ASN (the best performing VP in ASNB) with TH? Dig that info and share to us.

Since when I sing praise song for them? I even ask you to sell all, buy UT.

Anyway, if you not willing to dig any info, then why ask info at the first place? Instead asking people spoon-fed, why don't take an initiative to share some useful info? It is highly relevant between fixed price and variable price fund, since it is under same umbrella.

Edit: if you got info from somewhere, it is running out of reserves, then you can share. Otherwise, you can accuse every companies as 1mdb, and this doesn't help anyone at all without proof.

There is no best investment, hence no smarter or less sensible investor.

Buy UT is never a bad choice than FP, given investors want transparent information, and able to choose variety of funds according to what they need, e.g. oversea exposure, riskier equity, safer bond, etc. The average return of UT can be higher than FP double, triple or more, with chance of losing capital. At the end, FP is no different than UT rather than no transparent information.

Disclaimer: I hold some UT, and I won't said people less sensible for buying any investments (including FD) but not FP.

I don't ask for all info, but you did, so I suggest you take UT instead.
It is sensible for you, because you can't stand low transparency, and feel asnb is like TH. And I know a lot of UT investors that didn't trust asnb fixed price like you, even accuse it was ponzi.

- I asking people to sell FP if feel it is like TH, nothing wrong with that. If got confidence, just keep, why is listen to me?
- I didn't claim I know all the things you mentioned, I even mention every investment is not a bad choice, only you saying dump FP into UT is less sensible.

It is just a suggestion, recommendation, for those with less confident on asnb, or feel it has negative reserves.

Anyway, for TH case, then you need to ask them. If it is me and qualify for that, provided no rescue plan proposed, I already move TH money into asb, asb2, or even asb3, but not UT (yet), because I still got confident on asnb.

As for what to achieve? Ask yourself too. This is internet, freedom of speech, no need specific reason.

No free lunch in this world, the calendars they are getting is from what they invested.

Those who didn't ask (like me), paid for others.

Tried buying ASM, got the message "transaction not able to proceed" every time I tried.
Trying the rest just gave the usual "no unit" messages.
