QUOTE(nexona88 @ Nov 30 2018, 04:32 PM) indeed good news.. wonder how the price being "lifted" as even high proportion % of bond/money market won't materialize that fast.. anyway it's already making money if we normalized the earnings, as SC being one-off. ya knew about that thread, just extract for awareness if bored fishing FP and looking into other perspectives. |

QUOTE(plumberly @ Dec 10 2018, 12:02 PM) Just called the local ASNB and spoke to the manager. Ya it's not conclusive till todate * still no update from MS on the 2 regulations enforcement. * when asked on how these 2 regulations will impact the funds, stated the FP to VP! * advised me not to worry as there are many many many malaysians involved and the repercussion will be huge. Remember the earlier thread on my call to ASNB HQ and the lady said whether they change or not will depend on what is stated in the prospectus (quoting the earlier case with one ASB fund)? I did say do not that for granted and I am not liable for the outcome. So, please dont kill this messenger. Do your own due diligence. Please keep threads related to this under control. Best lucks for all |

QUOTE(veera77 @ Dec 10 2018, 09:29 PM) “Tabung Haji's shares in Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd (BIMB) were sold so as to show profit before being repurchased, which also incurred brokerage fees.” Even their spokesperson just said this is illegal in perspective of internal governance lol"Although the above transactions appear commercial, we understand that the intention was to enable Tabung Haji to report higher profits for the purpose of distribution to the depositors. https://www.malaysiakini.com/news/455525?ut...medium=facebook This what im seriously worry if PNB doing the same trick...selectively realised profit to show profit and pay divided:( |

QUOTE(vanitas @ Dec 11 2018, 04:41 PM) Pay using reserves isn't a problem, the keyword for TH is negative reserves. It is not an issue, but continue paying using reserves could become issue like THIf anyone not happy with reserves, can always buy UT or variable price fund, high transparency, no need to worry money don't know goes to where. |

QUOTE(vanitas @ Dec 11 2018, 05:15 PM) http://www.asnb.com.my/v3_/pdf/media/berit...%20Briefing.pdf don't be so sensitive if you are a guy.. Last page, - assets under management (AUM) currently exceeding RM288.1 billion - As at August 2018, ASNB has a total Unit in Circulation of 231.5 billion units Still not satisfy and feel PNB is another TH, please sell all. even so what's the YTD cash reserve vs utilization vs actual P&L? without that we can't benchmark with TH |

QUOTE(vanitas @ Dec 11 2018, 07:04 PM) If you want all those info, buy UT or variable price fund, as simple as that. I hav no plan since beginning to dig that info but since you provide some data which not relevant that's why i ask.. if don't hav then is ok ya.. anyway pnb should really make you as ambassador since you sing praise song all the time for them..Why don't you benchmark ASN (the best performing VP in ASNB) with TH? Dig that info and share to us. |

QUOTE(vanitas @ Dec 11 2018, 07:31 PM) Since when I sing praise song for them? I even ask you to sell all, buy UT. It's ok bro, being a sensitive guy will be less sensible at the same time. Anyway, if you not willing to dig any info, then why ask info at the first place? Instead asking people spoon-fed, why don't take an initiative to share some useful info? It is highly relevant between fixed price and variable price fund, since it is under same umbrella. Edit: if you got info from somewhere, it is running out of reserves, then you can share. Otherwise, you can accuse every companies as 1mdb, and this doesn't help anyone at all without proof. That's why asking me to sell all FP and buy UT. Hehe |

QUOTE(vanitas @ Dec 11 2018, 09:30 PM) There is no best investment, hence no smarter or less sensible investor. Then why not you sell all FP and buy UT as previously advocates?Buy UT is never a bad choice than FP, given investors want transparent information, and able to choose variety of funds according to what they need, e.g. oversea exposure, riskier equity, safer bond, etc. The average return of UT can be higher than FP double, triple or more, with chance of losing capital. At the end, FP is no different than UT rather than no transparent information. Disclaimer: I hold some UT, and I won't said people less sensible for buying any investments (including FD) but not FP. Is this sensible or not sensible. |

QUOTE(vanitas @ Dec 11 2018, 10:03 PM) I don't ask for all info, but you did, so I suggest you take UT instead. Please check back, I didn't ask anything and just sharing the link and you already asked to sell all FP and buy UT instead. Im not sensible either, it just that someone being too sensitive. It is sensible for you, because you can't stand low transparency, and feel asnb is like TH. And I know a lot of UT investors that didn't trust asnb fixed price like you, even accuse it was ponzi. How u know I didn't buy FP, how u know ppl calling it Ponzi but still buying it. How u know ppl vested in FP or not. Everyone has the choice not for you to conclude, as if you're sifu or investment. |

QUOTE(vanitas @ Dec 11 2018, 10:24 PM) - You did ask something, see quote above. It's less complicated than pusing like roti canai, just read #2496-99. - I asking people to sell FP if feel it is like TH, nothing wrong with that. If got confidence, just keep, why is listen to me? - I didn't claim I know all the things you mentioned, I even mention every investment is not a bad choice, only you saying dump FP into UT is less sensible. You are right, nothing wrong being sensitive actually. Even less sensible cause no harm to the society. If feels like TH then has to sell all and buy UT, then why TH investors still not moving their funds into UT? If you recommended that and did not happen, what to achieve in the end of the day? |

QUOTE(vanitas @ Dec 11 2018, 11:08 PM) It is just a suggestion, recommendation, for those with less confident on asnb, or feel it has negative reserves. Still can't quite get the rationale to sell all FP and buy UT. Anyway, for TH case, then you need to ask them. If it is me and qualify for that, provided no rescue plan proposed, I already move TH money into asb, asb2, or even asb3, but not UT (yet), because I still got confident on asnb. As for what to achieve? Ask yourself too. This is internet, freedom of speech, no need specific reason. And stand corrected that using reserves to pay dividends in TH was happened to ASNB as well. Nothing wins all the time, regardless of ur contident level |
