If u have 2 to 3 person connected to i150 (like in a modem) and they stream or download tons of files (approximate 200gb average) plus ur digi coverage is really good then that 2tb can be reach within 10 days

Wondering why such user don’t want go for unifi/home fibre? It will be much more stable and faster! I use my friend Maxis home fibre can go up to 180Mbps.

Not everyone has fibre at home. laugh.gif If they have, they will switch to fibre.

As for me, I had UniFi (relocated it to hometown now) but using Infinite 150 because I travel a lot, no point keeping the connection permanently at one place.
*
Why not switch to Maxis Home Fibre (RM89) + Mobile Plan (RM98)? It will give you unlimited mobile internet as well.

If only my area is fiber ready.... icon_question.gif
I believe most I150 users are the same, either no fiber coverage or travel a lot.

are you in YTL developed project? Or in rural area?

Nah... You need in the future Fibre area or your area already have the Fibre. Otherwise this 4g faster then shitmax...
*
is true that 4G faster than streamyx. but now I think not difficult to get unifi/maxis fibre...the ex-minister did a lot to push the fibre, increase speed and lower down the price.

Are you a Maxis sales representative?

I'm not.

I'm considering this option: maxis home fibre + maxis one plan.

I'm just curious why people are trying so hard to put the i150 into Huawei modem. and the modem also not cheap.

i150 + another mobile plan for phone call = ~RM200? this maybe easier to get with maxis? I am not sure.

another example: If say my area no fibre, I can install the home fibre in my brother house? then I use the mobile internet? Faster speed for Maxis 4LTE, but it has no VoLTE. But it save a lot more actually.

So, what does 89 + 98 equals to?  doh.gif

And you're planning to tether it from your phone 24/7? Good luck.

Digi does have Vo-LTE and the calls are unlimited with the plan, so all we need is to plug a phone in to the phone port and we have phone calls.

*PS, if you can't afford the B618 modem, there's always other wireless plans to accommodate your needs like the "#khabarburuk" unifi air

with no offense. you living in the HSBB area so you have mind set "fibre more stable and fast why not get it", meanwhile me here has no unifi lite while TM said me in the SUBB area...
And, by plan.....i should be get unifi lite years ago, and last year fibre< yea...by plan....and as always it doesnt work mad.gif
no joke, i will upgrade to the 5G modem when my 618 dead. continue enjoy the fibre like speed and f the TM
*
you might get me wrong. your reason is very solid, because there is no fibre in your area. My situation is different here...I has been using i150 for 3 years (I think, since the plan launched), and I'm in dilemma now whether I should make a switch.

p/s: I use my iPhone to hotspot all the while, because I want to save money.

not all area got unifi coverage or got port.

modem just an optional. wireless connection good signal strength good speed and stable connection.  if using mobile phone long hour hotspot it will like a C4 hot pancake.

like my indoor if using in a phone only 3bar H, hardly getting 4G, if force 4G, can get 1~2bar, but the request time out if high and lost connection. using modem solve the problems full bar good signal, good speed.
*
Thanks for your sharing. I think I should get one modem to try on it.

is not like we overpromote b618. as it does't cheap but there is few model of modem u can get to pair with uncap speed plan  like digi i150,

b715 4x4mimo 4G+, b618-22d import set(cheaper), B818-263 taiwan set seller by shopee (4x4mimo & 4G+) rm 5xx

depend on your budget and which modem suitable for u. as for 2x2mimo vs 4x4mimo does has sigal n speed different if indoor signal is not good.
indoor signal weak compare 2x2mimo vs 4x4mimo mdem
good indoor signal comparison single band 4G only b3 vs b7. Cheap modem also working great even with 2.4ghz wifi

if compare 4G+ speed, of coz b618 will get higher, around 150mbps.

Just bought one to try. Let's see if the signal improve and conveniency.

update #1:

I took out the digi i150 from my iPhone and put into the B618.
At home, iPhone internet speed will be around 1-2Mbps at night, and ~10Mbps in day time.

By using B618, the speed at night is around 6-7Mbps, and 20-30Mbps in day time.
Also, the internet speed is very stable and constant in B618.
No issue to receive call from other people while using internet.

This is really good way to improve the Digi internet speed when home.

But, I need to do SIM card switching from iPhone to B618 and vice versa when home/go out.
A little troublesome here. Hmm...

The good news is, I not need depends on B618 when I working at outside.
Usually I can get 50Mbps internet speed when I working out from home.

I’m another Maxis Unlimited Postpaid and Fibre (formerly known as MaxisONE Prime) user here. There is a lot of misinformation going on in various parts of this forum, saying or suggesting that once you hit 300GB of data across all your mobile share lines, your data won’t be usable anymore until the next billing cycle. This is however, NOT TRUE!

As clearly mentioned in the published T&C of Maxis Unlimited Postpaid and Fibre (MaxisONE Prime) on Maxis website, Maxis may at its absolute discretion manage your video streaming quality to normal quality only once FUP of 300GB is hit for that particular billing cycle. Otherwise everything else should run normally at full potential 4G/4G+ speed. If you are having any problem, you should call 123.
*
I call to 123 before.

they told me the speed will throttle to 64kbps. LOL

What's your experience so far?

How is Digi Infinite 150? Most importantly the speed?

I'm currently on Postpaid plan and I don't use it much because I'm connected to Unifi 100 at home most of the time, but already paying RM139 for unifi. I don't even watch hyppTV.

Thinking of ditching Unifi altogether and just use Digi Infinite for everything. But I need wifi hotspot for my home without keeping my phone hotspot switched on at all times.

I did this.

Perfect for one person or sometimes two.
Not so okay for many ppl usage.
