To existing postpaid 150 infinite users, did you ever contacted by digi representative via phone trying to entice you to change your postpaid plan?
*
They do, and they gave up. Now from time to time just spam SMS to upgrade.

Hi. I did check the thread using search, but it seems no answers (when query-ing "freedom").

I was wondering if the legacy DiGi i150 (2017) users can pair with phone freedom plan without converting into any new plans?

odd.

I'm told my current line cannot accept any more supplementary lines, but I did see a "family line" option.

Hmm.. Did the CS misunderstood me? or because I never had a subline under my DiGi Infinite i150, therefore now I can't make my family migrate as my subline?

why you want to make supplementary under Infinite lines?
all versions of Infinite are supposed to be primary, no supplmentary. It cannot share data to supplementaries; no point in parking supplementaries under Infinite.

add:
Administratively, CS would not allow register suppl under Infinite lines.
*
Ah no supplementary huh. I was thinking of saving some money when our family calculated the monthly costs.

So folks who are still hanging on to this plan...

New 150 has 135GB quota and also hotspot quota,

But if you take the 1 year lock in, everything becomes unlimited (quota and hotspot) and device restriction is capped at 10 for mifi device and up to q0 or whichever maximum the phone can handle.

But cannot bundle with phone plan.

I might switch to that new one.

iinm Postpaid 150 comes with speed limit.
Still have FUP.
And have to keep renewing 1yr commitment.

It's always either
• "unlimited bucket" (subject to FUP) AND capped speed, OR
• limited bucket AND uncapped speed.

Not sure if (2021) can 5G add-on if unlimited; i150 (2017) can't use 5G.
*
what's the speed limit? I'm not aware as I was told it was based on 5g speeds

QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Aug 8 2023, 10:14 PM)
Register a Primary with sufficient data to cover all supplementaries and itself.
Then Primary sign up for internet sharing add-on (RM10/mth). No sharing possible if not add this.

Then sign up the cheapest supplementary(s), park under the Primary. Each Suppl comes with their own data quota WHICH IS NOT SHAREABLE. Sign up for higher suppl plan if you need more data specific to that suppl.

The Internet Sharing mechanism for Digi Postpaid is, Suppl will use ALL QUOTA of Primary first.
If it can no longer draw from Primary, then only it will use its own private unshareable quota.

So make sure you set quota properly if your Primary also need to sustain its data for own use until next bill.

Thanks for the advise.

Also just to update. The new 150 plan has 135GB data cap. However, if you lock in the 1 year, everything becomes unlimited, even hotspot speed cap.
To clarify what I meant (because we already had previous conversation here)

Basically:
Normal 150=
135GB data (total)
hotspot (now allowed, no cap on users [basically whatever phone can handle, if on mifi device, up to 10 users], and no speed limit)

IF add on to lock 1 year contract:
Data cap from 150GB goes up to unlimited.
Hotspot goes to unlocked mode, still 10 if on mifi. ( no need purchase from the freedom add on)

The only caveat is, no phone bundling (if they had phone bundling I'll take it together with all the extra benefits, I don't mind).

All in all best walk in to the store, and get the best deal for you

I'm using Digi Postpaid 150 w/ unlimited data + unlimited hotspot (1 yr contract).

I noticed that when I use 5G hotspot, the speed can only max out to 10mbps. I searched their website and even called the customer hotline but nobody can answer me if there is a 5G hotspot speed cap on Digi 150 plan.

What is the point of having 5G hotspot when they will just cap it to 10mbps even on the highest postpaid plan.

Can you confirm on this?
*
Interesting. I was sure I was told there wasn't a speed cap by the rep in the store.

just all switch to umobile

show these greedy networks, and failed no 5g network that we are sick of their practices

Umobile is pretty good. I like what they offer.

I have to wait and see my latest bill, the app shows a RM190 due payment, which seems strange.
My bad, thanks for the info.
*
Did you call any of those 1300 or 1800 numbers, or did you subscribe to anything in Apple App Store or Google Play Store but the payment went to DiGi bill instead?

So just view my latest bill, it is still under discounted price RM159. Suspected some glitch in their Digi Apps which show RM190 before the official bill is available.

I see. hope all is well for you

New celcomdigi 260 is basically 2TB unlimited + 300mbps home fibre for free.

well, i don't know, but 2TB monthly is way more than enough for me for now.

But some do not need the home fibre...

Yes, you can choose the cheaper plan but only 1TB FUP...
*
Yeap. Its a sidegrade for those who are on the newer DIGI Infinite 150, and may not see it as a good deal, unless their hotspot usage is truly below 300GB.

For me, it is the upgrade that I wanted (I wanted lower fibre prices, as in mobile plan + fibre plan), but I already got my DIGI Fibre 1 month ago, and right now I'm very salty (because the plans for the phone deals included are pretty okay, even if you lock in 3 years)

mana ada newer "Infinite 150" after Infinite 150 2017.

just notmal Postpaid 150 2021 w/ option to add-on 12mth contract in exchange for 1TB and 10Mbps(?) hotspot for 3 devices.
*
hmm? I remember it being also RM150, or maybe I got mixed with the other plan where you can bundle phone as well (you cannot have both, either plan, or phone, if you get the phone the plan wasn't as good)

Infinite lines don't allow, never had device bundle 😮‍💨

Well, all the more reason the new celcomdigi bundle looks good. Only bad thing is its a private IP broadband, so bad for games like GTA5

Thanks
