oh forgot to add one very important note if anyone want to root their phone just for this, do note that some application like banking app won't work anymore because some of it dont allow the phone to be rooted.

in my case i will just unroot my phone once my modem arrive.

Use China unbranded OEM modem. Cheap, highly customizable OpenWRT firmware and better chipset. No doubt only CAT-4 LTE-A but that is all you need at this moment with Malaysian telco networks.
