Wish to buy Digi Infinite 100 for home using, cause my place still no Unifi Fiber Optic.
I check my home Digi speed around 10-16M only, so i100 should be enough.

So any 4G router recommend? happy.gif
I'm looking for Huawei B310AS-852, but this item no have VOLTE, actually how to use the VOLTE? buy a phone connect to it? or can using smartphone connect to using VoLTE?

Infinite 100 speed is cap at 10mbps.
Which is quite slow in today standard

Most likely it would not happen because DiGi already gave RM20 rebate to the long time i150 users, in which they only pay RM137.80 in total. Unless, they revamp the plan and come up with the new promotion next year

You guys got rebate? I've been using the plan for almost 2 years now and i only got it during first year & 6 months after enrol auto-billing 😅

I'm currently using digi infinite 150 with tether from my huawei p20 phone and i've been using it extensively on ps4, pc, laptop and even the laptop for my work.

Most of the times the lines are ok, but there are occasional signal drop/connection lost which im not sure if the use of modem would solve this issue.

Does anyone know if using the external modem can get better reception/speed compared to phone?

In short its a yes
But I'll say the receiption/speed is subjected to your external modem power/performance.
For instance, many here recommend Huawei B618, you may search and read up the thread in this forum.

I see.
I'm looking to take the TP link mr 600 actually.
Any idea about the performance for this model?

avoid modem brand others than huawei. mr600 just a 4G modem. if u got budget limited can try b310 or the b818 taiwan model 4G modem. least or not they can lock band. others brand are unable to lock band as cant use hmanager too. if your indoor signal not good, u really need to learn read the signal and find a best spot to locate the modem for u to get a stable connection n good speed.
rsrp seem high, try find spot with rsrp<90db, sinr >10. any of this low, speed will drop.

gah so which exact version to get then?  hmm.gif

From my understanding (correct me if im wrong im still new to this)

B618s-22d - There are 2 version, one is locked to only celcom sim (cheaper), and there's modded & unlocked version which can be used by all sim (slightly expensive).

B618s-65d - no reported lock unit. Can be used by all sim card telco. But most of the firmware for this unit is V81 which means future modding is not possible. Very expensive. Good if you're using i150 plan.

It's all boil down to your own preference. I decided to go with the 65d since i dont really need the modding part & it support Volte out of the box.
It also come with official Huawei warranty 1 year.

addition + correction for phone call.

addition, if your signal doesnt go 4G, it only got 3G i think internet will drop ?...

But if you in 4G, it will automatic support VoLTE, mean it get called in or out, internet still going didt cut off

In my Huawei p20 phone, YES this is true.

Im not sure if this will be the case with B618-s modem. Gotta wait & test it myself once it arrived thumbup.gif

Just received my B618S modem and used it on my i150 plan.

I dont notice any significant improvement in terms of speed as compared to using my P20, but the network is much more improved now. There's no occasional signal drop or line disconnected and i can even connect to the internet during heavy rain! Previously i was so frustrated that my area got rain during evening and it always slows down my connection but this time no such issues. Gonna give it few more days to try before can confirm this modem is really beast biggrin.gif
