Penalty? Of course lah

Remaining month of contract PLUS THE PRICE OF THE MODEM

AND THE MODEM NEED TO BE RETURNED AS WELL

GO DIE LA
*
ITS'S NOT YOUR PROPERTY BUT YOU STILL NEED TO PAY FOR THE MODEM IF YOU TERMINATE EARLY.

Can we SUE Celcom for being a theft here?

You incur the cost upfront on your customer but claim the CPE is your own property.

Who is the legal THEFT here?

Theoretically, all wireless 4G access will NEVER allow torrents not because of legal issues but more of its nature.

Whether it's Unifi Air, DiGi or Celcom Wireless broadband.

There's always alternative method where you can route your packets through a virtual tunnel* instead(you should get the idea) if you plan to torrent.

The wireless 4G networks wasn't designed to handle a deluge of connections that fixed lines can handle. The overload of traffic will flood the airwave slots crippling it like a DDoS attack.

Instead if you route it through a virtual tunnel*, your connection will made to look a single encapsulated connection, the remote server does the traffic handling instead.

Highly not recommended to use mobile data broadband as fixed line replacement in the Klang Valley especially major suburbs because network utilization is always congested at all times.

Not only DiGi Infinite, Maxis is also equally slow because it's already getting too dense in most areas. Everyone is always on their phone surfing and using data for internet today.

If you live in the Klang Valley and you want peace of mind with your fixed line internet at home for heavy usage, never look beyond fibre access. All mobile data networks are useless, good only for convenience for your phone but heavy usage don't even think about it.

most who use mobile data for home use aren't doing it out of choice lerrrr....

all landed house surrounding me appear in HSBB-based system.
the all condos surrounding me are also in the system.

my apartment?
nobody wants to wire up.

4G LTE Mobile data will never be able to compete directly with fibre. The response times are like day and night.
Given an option between fixed fibre and fixed wireless 4G LTE, you should not even think twice to take fibre.

In Klang Valley here especially Subang, Kepong, Puchong, Cheras mobile networks are highly congested one. I've like given up on them only no choice to use it on my mobile phone when I leave home or office. Else I always switch to fibre fixed line Wi-Fi wherever possible.

I got friends using one prime, most of them uses over 300GB monthly. The 300GB FYP for one prime at least is only on video streaming...over 300GB they'll lower video quality to 480p. Not sure about the broadband plan hmm.gif
*
Most small families and single bachelor users won't touch anything near 300GB.

Why some of these One Prime users were consistently able to break 300GB in utilization was because they were renting out their sub lines to other people/family members to be used as fixed line alternatives.

Even nowadays with direct downloading imposed, content providers are capping users daily with streaming contents such as imposing max 10GB with free VPNs or DDL files to safeguard their servers.

300GB is a lot that is difficult to abuse if you already have fibre at home and at work in the office to offload your mobile line.

It quite easily to reach 300gb monthly if you stream 1080p60 on twitch for 2-4 hour on working day and more on weekens/holiday. Just ytday stream twitch like 4-5 hour already ate my quota like 10-11gb ,using celcom atm.
*
No longer you get all you can download provision with content servers anymore today since they already can calculate how much a single user can stream per day. Nowadays content providers are also quietly throttling users with daily quota of around 10-15GB per day with DDL/streaming.

It is not only your ISP which is throttling you. Servers such as Netflix and those DDL file hosting servers are also doing it to prevent abuse from their accounts that are shared via Debrid hosters.

Take for example my VPNHub account has a 10GB daily limit cap on it. Once exceeded from full speed will be capped at 512kbps and the app tracks me through device MAC ID not just by changing IP can circumvent it.

Also these streaming websites are smart to calculate that a person could at most stream 10-20GB(FUP) at most per day unless you are stuck on the couch like a robot watching movie non stop which is unlikely if you're working. Those who are claiming that they can use the account for prolong periods of time per day are very likely or suspected to be SHARING their accounts with many others.

A HD movie is with a length of 90mins on average(1 and a 1/2 hr) is about 2GB in size, how many hours can you sit in front of the TV streaming?10 hours per day and consistently every day 24/7 365 days a week?

When I was subscribing to DiGi Infinite 150 2 years ago, with me being the only user I only get to use my internet at home only after working hours before sleep and on weekends. Even 250GB was difficult to reach.
For the 12 months of using it, I barely could even reach 500GB with heavy downloads despite having a TV box and using simultaneously with a laptop.

So as you can see content and VPN providers are also implementing hidden quotas on their accounts to prevent abuse of sharing accounts with many users and from ripping their entire library of movies/contents overnight by media pirates.

But seriously once you go 480 or higher, u cant even go back 240 or even 360 edy...sakit mata oh cry.gif

480p is lowest I would go when you need to live stream channels from other regions to keep the stream consistent.

For regional live content in Asia I would not settle for lower than 720p.

VOD content the highest I would go is 1080p.

4K contents are still very limited and rare.

Seems, the postpaid Digi Infinite 150 phone plan is not on offer at its website. If people want to subscribe, how.? Is it only available at Digi shops/centers.? If so, why is this.?
.
*
Have to create a Postpaid account first and existing users who want to upgrade/switch can do so when they log into their account management portal.

Also when you want to port in you cannot find the option for their Prepaid directly from other telcos.

The reason DiGi will say you need to at least subscribe to their Postpaid first for 1 month before you can switch to Prepaid by going to their DiGi Centre.

DiGi's billing system is becoming messy ever since the MCO. Maybe they already lay off many of their staffs or their staffs are now protesting due to unhappy over their work conditions.

Maxis One Go WiFi qualifies for broadband annual LHDN tax reduction because it's more of a wireless broadband plan but DiGi Infinite is a mobile postpaid call plan which makes it ineligible?

Not just Maxis, almost all mobile telcos suffer from serious congestion if you live in urban and highly populated areas including DiGi during peak hours from 7pm every night to early hours in the morning.
