QUOTE(lookie @ Sep 11 2025, 09:24 AM) does those esim from shoppee or klook get blocked for google access too? My guess. Getting from Klook or Trip should be more reliable because I think they have to stand behind what they sell. If you really want to be 100%, get Digi or Maxis roaming package. Google or FB etc will surely work.

QUOTE(lookie @ Sep 11 2025, 05:07 PM) Thanks! Yeah looks like roaming is the safest bet. Plus compared to years back, roaming charges are not really that expensive anymore. Personally, Roaming would be my 1st choice to anywhere overseas and some have free calls minutes. Unless the cost is far too expensive compared to alternatives. And if the countries I go to aren't covered by the roaming package. Then I would find one from either Hello1010 or from Trip.com One thing for sure, once you used eSIM, you want to stick with eSIM.

My experience. Using Maxis/Digi roaming, I can't recall any lag. If there is, I am not too aware of it.
I once have a phone (non-China SIM) with VPN installed. VPN WAS NOT SWITCHED ON. It works for about a week and then suddenly stopped working. Once VPN uninstalled, phone working again.

QUOTE(nampaknyahebat @ Oct 11 2025, 01:29 PM) Hi, should I book a didi upon arriving daxing airport , or safer bet, trip.com airport transfer? Travelling with parents, 4 pax with 4 luggage Trip has the option to have the driver holding a card at arrival gate. Select that. With parents, I would opt for this option.

When at a new airport, with ehaul, you often have to find your way to some specific spot. Takes about 20 minutes.
When meet-and greet, it will take you 0 second to have some one to lead the way.
One is cheaper. The other is easier. So depends on one's need.
