QUOTE(MegaThroned @ Oct 22 2018, 12:11 PM) Im in dilemma in getting device from maxis or digi. Both have pro and cons, cheaper monthly line fee but device is more expensive. Vise versa. Aim for xs 64gb only. Just stick to your existing telco if coverage and service is good. Few years back during the data quota telco competition, I decided to change telco. But unfortunately coverage was really bad at places I work at or go to. Finally after a few months I reverted back to my original telco.

QUOTE(winkiedilwy @ Oct 22 2018, 11:53 AM) Hi, anyone here bought HK set? How's the warranty? Most of us early adopters did. Touch wood we dont have to find out QUOTE(MegaThroned @ Oct 22 2018, 12:11 PM) Im in dilemma in getting device from maxis or digi. That's more important coz it's a two year contract.

No one talks about Qi charging? Will constantly Qi charging lower the life span of your battery?

Aim for xs 64gb only. get the one with best coverage for your day to day use (if thats the only line you're using) pay a little more, rather than 2 years of pain...

Meaning i can just walk in and buy it on this coming Friday Should be no problem to walk in and buy this time. Because the choice is diversify into xr and xs max this time and also the storage of 256 and 512 cater to even more group this round. Previously people always go for largest possible but this time not.

Getting Started

QUOTE(winkiedilwy @ Oct 22 2018, 11:53 AM) Hi, anyone here bought HK set? How's the warranty? If you bought it from T&L, then it’s a shop warranty. Which means you’re gonna have to send it back to the shop should any problems occur within 1 year of the warranty period. I think this is true for other vendors supplying HK set as well.

Will constantly Qi charging lower the life span of your battery? i guess because wifi charging is slow compare to cable and you cant use your phone while charging?

QUOTE(munk3y @ Oct 22 2018, 02:11 PM) hey guys, just wondering if u guys have any issues with the LTE or wifi performance for the XS max? Seems like a bar lesser than what I would usually get on my Android on cellular reception but WiFi is OK thus far.

Bro... try yours against Wifi 5G connections if you have Unifi or Maxis Fibre at home. 5G connections are usually smaller in coverage area. You would see the difference there.

Maybe need to try in other parts of the house.
