but if u get a bad condition car most of the time, most won't return

can they do this on rental car?...i don't think so...they will need to pay for damages whereas u don't for socar

Its not really about socar....its the user problem.. Maybe socar should introduce some kind of point system for user. If they use a good gps device, they should know how the user use the car...and maybe they can put incar dashcam to also record the driver and passanger

Socar does install dashcam on every of their cars. The problem is that the user purposely disconnect the dashcam.

Are u sure about it? Back then my friend saying not entire car fleet is under socar ownership, some BMW is under ownership of individual and they sign a leasing agreement to socar. The leasing price is much higher than the car instalment so owner enjoice.

Commercial license doesn't mean is all under socar also.

Got ah?.. The one towards the road, i know got... but i dont remember got any towards inside... Btw, i think got tnc saying user cannot touch/disable it.. They need to be strict a bit.. I saw few times socar driver smooking inside

yes, the dashcam is towards the front road but it also record sounds, etc. I think that's enough to find fault with abusive users. I took a few socars and the dashcam was plugged out when I took the car. Definitely been done by the previous user.

And also yes, I experience smelly smoker's car when I took the car. Complaint to SOCAR and they told me to get the car wash and in return, they'll reimburse me in terms of FREE 1 HOUR rental instead of CASH!?!?!?!? Why should I go though the hassle for FREE 1 HOUR RIDE!?!?!?!

Btw dont blame Malaysian mentality, if u see the comments section which is compulsory for users to rate after using the car, u can see most users are actually arabs/ foreigners students

I'm a frequent user of socar despite having personal car for myself.
Always rent the Altis as is much premium yet not that different from City and Vios in terms of pricing.


The concept is very nice, I like the afforable rate and free 30km worth of petrol that is provided for every hour.

Customer service could've been improved.
The petrol card at times, will reject your transaction sometimes doesn't even work at particular card.

To fuel up using your own money is rather a gamble, because it's gonna be weeks of waiting and probably won't get back your money.

I feel bad for Socar when people can't appreciate nice things. Some brand new cars already have scuffs and scratches.
