Is there any way to file or smoothen uneven concrete that is already hardened? without using power tool...
Relevel it? or skimming it Extension, Wet Works and ID, Discussion for Wet Works and ID works

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Dec 2 2024, 10:34 PM) There are a few ways to smoothen or file hardened concrete without using power tools. One option is to use a trowel to level out the surface. You can use a SikaQuick concrete resurfacer or an abrasive stone to sand down the surface gradually. If possible, pls send some photos here so we can have a quick discussion. Thanks 😁 |

hi there, recently engaged a one stop design + reno firm and got a quotation that went above my budget (and they are not really budging on the price unfortunately)
just wanted to do a sanity check by just taking one item out of the quote to see if it's above market rate cause this is my first time doing a house reno shoe cabinet: melamine finish, swing doors with soft closing hinges, measurements: 2700mm (W) x 600mm (D) x 850mm (H) cost: RM9,500 inclusive of design, production and installation would be super helpful if there's any sifus here that can advice if this pricing is reasonable? thanks! |

Few things you need to be considered. First is structural/foundation of the building. Secondly is the requirement by your local authority then materials and specifications. Last is the cost and timeline. ruffy_z liked this post

QUOTE(ruffy_z @ Dec 17 2024, 07:29 AM) The cost can vary depending on the material, design, and how complex it is. Since it is 2000 sqft, which is similar to building a single-storey landed property, the price can range from 360k to 500k for basic design and build |

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Dec 24 2024, 05:08 PM) The surface at the back of the mirror is uneven, partly tiled and partly painted cement. Any idea how to make it look nicer? Fill up with white cement? TIA You can try horizontal slat wall secure at cement wall then extend until same level as bottom mosaic surface then mirror partial secure on horizontal wood slat wall and partial secure on mosaic , you can try Google horizontal/vertical slat wall for more idea.![]() Human Nature liked this post
