Think of it like a 2gbps connection. You can’t get over 2gbps if your device is limited at 1gbps.

Your speed has increased but your link speed between the router and node is still the same. Nothing will change that unless they move closer.
*
Are you suggesting then that in theory, the only parts of the house where I will be able to access speeds in excess of 100mbps, will be there parts where I was already maxing out at 100mbps before? ZERO difference at all other areas of my home?

I am aware of comments saying that the "free" router that Time provides is not that great.

Nevertheless, how does the new "free" Wifi 6 router compared to the previous Wifi 5 router? Will the penetration through walls be better? Currently, in my 3rd room (furthest from the router), connection is spotty. Can I expect improved connection, however small it may be?

Reason I ask is that I will be coming up to 20 months soon and am deciding if I should renew and replace with the free router.

I was on the 100mbps plan that got auto upgraded to 200mbps a couple of months ago.

Time latest promo is RM10 off for contract renewal (>20 months into existing contract). Quite worth it, especially for those on 200mbps plan. Plus it's for a 12 month lock-in period only.

Any good promo now?

Worth jumping to Unifi for RM89 + 3 months free?

If I threaten to switch, what will I be offered? Am on the basic 200mbps plan.

I reached out TIME yesterday to ask for termination then they reach me out this morning and offer me 6 months free with 2 years contract. You may try to reach out TIME for termination request and they will mostly be offering you free 6 months too.

What plan are you on?

Does anyone pay Time Fiber bill via PosOnline?

Can you prepay your bill in advance?

If yes, do you lose the RM2 auto-debit rebate?

My contract for 200mbps is ending. I am on a 12 month contract at rm89 promo price.

1. Does this promo still on offer?
2. If I call to cancel, what will they offer to retain?
3. If I cancel, can I resubscribe to get better router and free 1st month?

I want to terminate my service on my contract end date, which is 29 Dec 2025. However, Time is insisting for me to pay one month advance payment. Is this legal? Why are they charging me an additional month? My bill for Nov-Dec 2025 has been issued and paid.

It's very frustrating, home someone can help.

My RM10 discount x 12 months ended already..
From 99/month reduced to 89/month, and now back to 99/month..

I appreciate the lower monthly bills.. Now thinking to switch to Unifi for 100mbps @ 89/month..

Does Time do any counter offer to attract you to stay with them? (reading few pages back, i know for those on 600mbps they will counter offer with free 6 months for 2 years contract, but im asking specifically for those on 200mbps package if anyone have any experience)

How i wish Time would do a package for 100mbps with cheaper monthly fee

I am in the same boat, RM10 discount x 12 months ending soon.

For me, 200mbps is more than enough as well.

What did you do eventually? Have you terminated? Did they counter offer?

Do let me know, please.

Also, when I terminate, it is asking for an additional RM99 advance payment, even though my bill for 29 Nov to 28 Dec has been paid.

In the contract you signed, there is a 1 month advance notice to be given for termination.
For this advance payment, it will be the charge for this month.
Another thing is, starting Jan this year, the new policy requires you to return the equipment such as ONU, Router & ONT.

Thanks.

Termination completed. I am a customer for 5+ years, I am surprised they never made an offer to retain. I even explicitly called to ask, they said my account is "not qualified". LMAO good riddance.

Im same, i call cs no promo price for me. i terminated the service thru portal. you got few option
1. resubscribe 200mbps with free 1mth
2. search for existing owner, transfer ownership.some give 2mths and installation fee but hv to serve contract balance mth
3. go to unifi/celcom, previously i use unifi my area no issue coz price higher
*
Yeah I am considering my options. I'm leaning towards Umobile's UHome 5g mainly due to the pricing. Also looking into Unifi. Worse case scenario, resubscribe to Time with 1 month free and the newer Wifi 6 modem. My existing modem is a very old Huawei Wifi 5 modem.

Which big ISP can offer you a cheaper price than RM139/mth for 600Mbps?

The lowest I've seen is TM RM90/mth for 500Mbps and that's a retention only offer.

Most people have realised they don't need 600mbps...100mbps works wonders for 95%++ of the population.

I’m on postpaid plan from one of the telcos. So, I opted for their package (postpaid + broadband) package, which translates to some savings. 😀

You got the point now. Time should do something like TM. 😀

If it is true that a few of us have terminated (never seen so many termination posts at once in Lowyat), Mangement will get the hint in a few quarters time. Surely one of their KPIs is customer retention rate.

Time Internet 200Mbps RM92.22/month
M1 Internet 2500Mbps S$29.90/month (approx. RM95.68)

Add "A Fistful of Dollars" & I got 12X of speed !!!  biggrin.gif

How you got Time at RM89 per month?

I won't have mind if they extended the contract at RM89, but after expiry my month fee is RM99. It is bonkers. Hello it is cheaper to retain existing customer, just offer me RM89 and I would have taken it.

Anyways, their loss.
