QUOTE(ktchang321 @ Sep 24 2021, 09:43 AM) I bought Ax73 router to replace my current EC-230 router. And test again speedtest via Lan cable CAT6. This few times can get download speed and upload speed 300mbps (new upgrading plan is 300mbps). Fantastic!!!! And my wifi speed of my master bedroom also increase and much better (Ax73 - around 100mbps, EC230 - around 20mbps last time). So really high recommend AX73. FYI, EC-230 router only can get 140-160mbps after upgrading new plan 300mbps via CAT6. That's why I decide to bought AX73 to replace EC-230. No regret to replace new router Ax73. Today just upgraded to 300mbps and same issue what you mentioned but I can reached 200 Mbps only with wifi5. Haven't test with lan cable. Look like I'm gonna buy new router, eyeing ax73 or Ax72. Why you choose ax73 instead Ax72?

QUOTE(ktchang321 @ Sep 24 2021, 08:16 PM) Got sifu here share about AX73 and the price of this 2 model almost no much difference. So just bought AX73. Just wondering why ec230 not support for 300mbps. So no point support 1350mbps when the router cannot support 300mbps. This post has been edited by xSean: Sep 24 2021, 11:25 PM

QUOTE(FusionXY @ Sep 24 2021, 11:08 PM) Due to hardware limitations cause the speed to be capped. what do you mean? i called TIME, i keep asked the support, is it the router ec230-g1 cannot support more than 300mpbs? She said no as current 500mbps customer also using it.

QUOTE(FusionXY @ Sep 25 2021, 06:43 PM) Meaning that new sign up will be given a new 2 in 1 mesh router. Those subscribed before the new router introduced using the TP-LINK EC230. Yes, old subscriber 500mbps using TP-Link ec230 but my ec230 cannot reach 300mbps. You said due to hardward limitation, it capped the speed. How come old subscriber no issue reach 500mbps with TP-Link ec230?

No issue with my old router TP-Link c7 and huawei wa8021v5, consistently reached 300mbps

QUOTE(swasts @ Oct 5 2021, 11:25 AM) Recently I change my router from EC230 to WA8021V5 after TIME offer me free upgrade + 24 months contract. But found out my speed is much slower when using WA8021V5. Only manage to get 90-150 Mbps on 500 Mbps plan. When I switch back to my old EC230 can easily get around 400-500Mbps. Anyone have the same issue ? Does mesh router only focus on range only instead of speed ? My case opposite. My ec230 cannot reach 300mbps but wa8021v5 can.

QUOTE(ju69an @ Oct 26 2021, 11:52 AM) I am using a 500mpbs plan but my speedtest only comes up to 200mbps using wifi. I tried using a phone and a computer and they get the same results. I am using the modem and router provided by TIME ( Archer C1200). Is this normal? Disable traffic statistics. Before disable, I cannot go up to 300mbps. Just can get around 200mbps.

QUOTE(westlife @ Mar 11 2024, 09:32 AM) Does it show under the portal any term and condition changes after the downgrade? e.g. contract reset? Do share ur experience after downgrade if 100Mbps is sufficient or not? Already downgraded this morning. The experience is same, no lag or latency. Watching TV box, my kids watching YouTube fhd, me also watching tiktok Before downgraded, I called customer service to double confirm and portal show the last contract date. No reset or contract extension

QUOTE(togekiss @ Mar 11 2024, 09:59 AM) what's the reason to downgrade? save cost? Save cost. 1 year can save around rm400 including sst. 100mbps is more than enough for normal usage, Netflix, youtube, tiktok for 3-4 devices concurrently. Even can watch 4k content with 3 devices concurrently.

QUOTE(jack2 @ Mar 11 2024, 12:36 PM) Are you off-contract? Otherwise, downg would reset the contract into a new contract period. No contract reset for downgraded. Checked the self care portal after downgraded complete.
