QUOTE(jjj2 @ Nov 1 2023, 10:06 PM) Yes there has been multiple disconnection issues for the Huawei HG8145X6 mesh routers, there is a recent firmware update (V500R022C00SPC265), not 100% sure whether it can address this problem, but you may call up CS to request them send some techs over to diagnose. Thanks. May I know how to update the Huawei router?

Would you suggest to upgrade my router from the Huawei OptiXstar HG8145X6 to TP-Link Archer AX53 V2 (the price isn't bad in eCommerce platforms)? Is it compatible with the existing Huawei WA8021V5 mesh?
Can I also get rid of the Huawei Echolife router too? Thanks.

QUOTE(jjj2 @ Apr 13 2024, 10:24 AM) Not compatible in terms of meshing, in fact you can ditch off the rubbish WA8021V5. If you are referring to the ONT unit that comes with fiber plugging in to it, you cant totally ditch off this, but what you can is turn it to bridge mode so that your self bought mesh system can take over. 1. Sad.... although I found the current WA8021V5 kinda okay covering the coverage of the master bedroom of my 950sqft unit, from the router located in the living room. Hopefully, the TP-Link Archer AX53 can achieve that room (previously the HG8145X6 signal was unable to reach the master bedroom) so Time gave me a few units of WA8021V5. 2. Alright so the ONT cannot be removed, but I can replace that OptiXstar with TP-Link Archer AX53 right?

QUOTE(jack249 @ May 3 2024, 01:55 PM) Hey guys how you pay the TIME bill normally? Is there any other way to pay TIME bill rather than pay on TIME website or JOMPAY? I pay using auto debit on credit card.

My router Huawei Optixstar HG8145X6 died of a sudden. No blinking lights whatsoever. Called TIME, technician said out of warranty also. Finally have to buy a new router.
May I know after buying a new router (looking at TP-Link AX53 A3000) and set up with the PPPoE and SSID, how do I set up the Huawei WA8021V5 OmniMesh (the cube-shaped).

QUOTE(jjj2 @ Jun 28 2024, 12:32 PM) Setup your own router tplink ax53 by inserting the pppoe & hook it up to the LAN1 port of the Huawei ONU. Forget about the crappy WA8021v5, it will make your network performance worse. Thank you! Hopefully, the AX53 coverage can cover most of my 950 sq ft apartment.

After I threw away the lousy Huawei router and replaced it with an Asus RT-AX1800HP, instant speed boost... Even best, I can completely setup and control my own router.

QUOTE(ubsacc2004 @ Jul 29 2024, 09:33 PM) Then any solutions ? LOL. its quite irritating WIFI disconnected every 5 minutes . Haiz It looks like there are issues with the router. Is it the WiFi loses the connection entirely? Can you see others' WiFi SSID (neighbors)? If that's the case, most likely is the router wireless settings.

I'm not sure if other TIME users are experiencing the same issue I am. At night, when I try to browse Twitter/X, it becomes so slow that I have to switch to my mobile data to access it. However, during the day, the browsing speed is considerably okay.
