Will Maxis offer its eSIM technology to the iPhone XS or any devices that support eSIM?

https://www.maxis.com.my/en/personal/plans/postpaid-plans/esim.html

What is eSIM?

eSIM stands for embedded SIM, an advanced new technology widely used in countries such as Japan, South Korea and the USA. This technology uses a small chip built into the device to replace the traditional SIM card, eliminating the need to carry around a physical card.

Benefits of eSIM

Convenience:
No physical setup needed. Independence from the phone.

Internet of Things:
Increased connectivity and convenience with the ability to connect more devices.

How to set up your eSIM on the Huawei Watch 2

Step 1
Download the Android Wear AND Huawei Wear apps to your smartphone

Step 2
Sync the Huawei Watch 2 to your phone and follow instructions on the Android Wear app

Step 3
Connect to the WiFi or your mobile data and scan the QR code on your Maxis eSIM card

Step 4
Follow the instructions on your screen to activate your eSIM profile

Step 5
Your Huawei Watch 2 is now paired with your eSIM and ready for use!

From the maxis eSIM FAQ page, seems like eSIM can have main standalone plan

What is the difference between an eSIM MISM and a standalone eSIM?

eSIM MISM:Primary: Can make receive calls and SMS

Secondary: Cannot receive calls and SMS

eSIM Standalone: These will have its own line and is able to make calls

What happen to Malaysia ? Now even India is ahead of us?

The boss confirmed e-Sim after iOS 12.1 launch. While Maxis still Kelam-Kqbut, different answers was given. No memo? no training? And Maxis suppose to be the most ‘adcance’ Telco in Malaysia.

How to catch up ? Our internet already slow. The So call Turbo only roll out with very few people got it.

So, the iPhones will have both an eSIM and a plastic SIM?

Yes. The new iPhones will have a traditional plastic SIM, the familiar hardware-based SIM chip that identifies you to your carrier network, and an eSIM, the newer software-based equivalent.

And here's the big thing: the eSIM can accommodate multiple phone numbers -- which you can add, delete and configure right from your iPhone's settings. In contrast, a plastic SIM needs to be physically removed and substituted.

In theory, once eSIM technology is widely supported by carriers in the US and internationally, Apple could phase out the plastic SIM entirely. For now, in giving the 2018 iPhones both a plastic SIM and eSIM, Apple is covering all of the bases.
