I have never missed a new iphone iteration since 3Gs.

I won't say no to an iPhone though but I promise to give all Samsungs a miss next year! Seeing the Note 9 value drop like there's no tomorrow is really an alarming trend, hahaha

My first 3Gs last year just throw away, i am blur, didn’t thinking carefully to remove out battery.
Due to that battery punctured 😭😭😭

You seems so confident with the IP68 rating. Even Apple does not cover water damage warranty.

would not recommend bring the phone into the pool unless manufacturer covers water damage in warranty.

iPhone 2G, skip iPhone 3G. I haven't taken more than 1 week to sell my iPhone, X considered the hardest, take a week to sell 2. My iPhone 7+ takes less than 12 hours to sell 2 at RM2900 each.

Actually a lot depends also on how much you want for your phone... The lower your expectations, the faster the sale

Ya, I am aware the risk, I watch the video even at 15m(45ft) the iPhone Xs Max still survive without any damage, IP68 can submerge 2meter of water for 30 minutes and was told during the Keynote it is ok to drop inside the pool for a while. Ya I am ready to take that risk, after all that's what it is for.

Being spill with water since 7+, so far ok. Level 8 for water should be very good design else the product won't be given with this level. One thing bad is the phone stop working on camera/video when inside the pool, may need to get a thin case for that purpose.
