it is RPG now, so grinding is there. and there are quite a number of activities to do. like SSJBen said, space out your activities so you don't get too tired.

main reason people feel it's too grindy is the exp booster, since some claim the exp gained too slow without the booster, and pushing them to buy it. though it's unnecessary for me, just do unique sidequest and explore the map is enough.

I have finally finished the game , clocking at 100 hours ~ how they manage to squeeze so much content into one game continue to amaze me . Quality content that is .


There are a lot of buzz around the micro-transaction where Ubisoft is trying to make their booster items more appealing . There are indeed some truth in this .

Early game , this isn't a very big deal as you still gain a large amount of experience from quests , but you will have to do some side quests for sure . Not a very big problem , for me at least . Most them are fascinating enough with some quirks and humors to keep you entertained .

After level 40++ , that's when things starting to become really grindy . The game will start to force regions below your level , stay under-leveled . This will effectively cut down EXP earning rate from these region by a portion , which means you will need to do some serious planning on where to quest .


If you are like me , someone who like to do / see everything in the game , this shouldn't be much of a concern at all . To be fair , I didn't finish any of the contract & bounties filler quests , maybe about 80% of the side quests. If you are one of those who just wanted to go through the story as fast as possible , that ain't going to happen in this game .


P/S : I am level 47 atm (50 is the max) with 2 continent remains unexplored, relatively .

there's a rumor that a new patch is coming soon that will increase the level cap. so gonna take a break from this for awhile until the patch is live.

just finish Chapter 3. I am loving this game so far! I am playing as Kassandra HAHA. Flirting with girls is so funny lmao.

Yep , plat-ed it last week .

It can be done from just one playthru , all it takes are time and patience .
As far as I know there isn't any trophy that is specifically tied to choice and consequences you made in the game .


Strangely there are currently 2 new trophies from the upcoming post launch episodic DLC , which cannot be obtained ( obviously ) since they are not yet released . They should have no effects on your platinum hunting progress.

i remembered i clocked 30-40 hours at origins only

well, it is big. can't say if it's bigger than Origins. just stuck clearing locations and doing sidequest, already stopped doing the random quests, just focus on bounty and orichalcum quest.

I've platted the game in 90+ hours... thoroughly enjoyed the game. Can't wait for the updates.

If you have actually finished the game, I believe it doesn't take much more to plat it.

I must say it is a lot easier to plat this than Origins...

It does , actually.

Trying to clear thru every underwater spot , it is no small task .

But the recent patch have made it easier , before that getting ancient tablet upgrades for the ship is extremely time consuming as well .

The daughter of artemis questlines can also take a while to complete as it requires you to locate each and every of those legendary beast.
Hunting down every cultist figure may also take sometimes and they are not obligated to beating the game .
