Assassin's Creed Odyssey is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by Ubisoft Quebec and published by Ubisoft.
It is the eleventh major installment, and twentieth overall, in the Assassin's Creed series and the successor to 2017's Assassin's Creed Origins.
Set in the year 431 BCE, the plot tells a fictional history of the Peloponnesian War. Players choose between controlling a mercenary for either the Delian League led by Athens or the Peloponnesian League, led by Sparta.

It's hard to say if you will like this game.

AC : Origins was a pretty okay game to begin with . The game was far from perfect but they have got the game direction right . It was a really pretty game and was still , probably the best A:C game to date ( I like Black Flag but I had more funs in Origin ) . The core of game is still pretty "Ubisoft" ; a vast open world to explore , you get to sneak around , stealing items , killing thugs , sailing ships , engage in open sea combat , getting bounty , killing the bounty hunters , level ups , doing side quest , grinding for upgrades ... etc

Obviously the core of AC : Odyssey has not changed much , since Ubisoft has only got a year to pump out another full fledge , massive open world game .

Although , this time it plays more like an AC version of the Dragon Age RPG game , except without the Dragons and Mages but with Spartans , Minotaurs and Medusa .
Odyssey has 2 playable characters , both female and male (bro&Sis ), several NPC to romance , large amount of dialogue choices , decision and consequence .
While there isn't anything groundbreaking , the addition of RPG element certainly has open new doors of possibilities for the franchise .
They keep all the good stuff from Origins and added in a numbers of improvement from the last game as well .

If the last game bored you to death and you are not exactly a big fan of RPG , then you probably shouldn't be getting it .

Is the game very grindy? I saw reviews saying that it is very grindy.

I have finally finished the game , clocking at 100 hours ~ how they manage to squeeze so much content into one game continue to amaze me . Quality content that is .

There are a lot of buzz around the micro-transaction where Ubisoft is trying to make their booster items more appealing . There are indeed some truth in this .

Early game , this isn't a very big deal as you still gain a large amount of experience from quests , but you will have to do some side quests for sure . Not a very big problem , for me at least . Most them are fascinating enough with some quirks and humors to keep you entertained .

After level 40++ , that's when things starting to become really grindy . The game will start to force regions below your level , stay under-leveled . This will effectively cut down EXP earning rate from these region by a portion , which means you will need to do some serious planning on where to quest .

If you are like me , someone who like to do / see everything in the game , this shouldn't be much of a concern at all . To be fair , I didn't finish any of the contract & bounties filler quests , maybe about 80% of the side quests. If you are one of those who just wanted to go through the story as fast as possible , that ain't going to happen in this game .

P/S : I am level 47 atm (50 is the max) with 2 continent remains unexplored, relatively .

Plat yet?

does it requires multiplay -- > different choices to plat
*
Yep , plat-ed it last week .

It can be done from just one playthru , all it takes are time and patience .
As far as I know there isn't any trophy that is specifically tied to choice and consequences you made in the game .

Strangely there are currently 2 new trophies from the upcoming post launch episodic DLC , which cannot be obtained ( obviously ) since they are not yet released . They should have no effects on your platinum hunting progress.

I've platted the game in 90+ hours... thoroughly enjoyed the game. Can't wait for the updates.

If you have actually finished the game, I believe it doesn't take much more to plat it.

I must say it is a lot easier to plat this than Origins...
*
It does , actually.

Trying to clear thru every underwater spot , it is no small task .

But the recent patch have made it easier , before that getting ancient tablet upgrades for the ship is extremely time consuming as well .

The daughter of artemis questlines can also take a while to complete as it requires you to locate each and every of those legendary beast.
Hunting down every cultist figure may also take sometimes and they are not obligated to beating the game .

Origin had some crazy and unreasonable trophies to begin with , such as the one that required you to sell 100 trinkets at once .

You better start saving all the things in your bag.
