this is the best result to let Klopp knoe that his decision sucks by letting Sturridge come in so late

brace for a MC loss this weekend unless he drop Salah

Henderson play like shit today. Salah and Mane kept disrupting the counter attack.
Before the game, i watched back all Salah goals and game play in previous season. Seems like one of missing piece is Oxy on the right side.
*
True, not particularly Ox, just any player to combine with him on the right channel. Of course his drive from midfield as well as ability to take long shots create space too. We just don't have anyone doing those things now, all 3 players capable of that are out: Lala, Ox, Keita.

Oh, that makes it 3 games without a win now guys. It's entirely possible it gets to 4 by end of this week, crisis anyone?

Damn it, we better be bouncing back from this for 1 of the biggest game in the 1st half of the season.

I think there is a need of slight change to surprise Man City.

i notice tht if the opponent plays good one touch football / quick passing, they will break kloops style of playing...

last yr was, if the opponent plays defensively and counter us.

hope he can learn how to win ugly.

Shaqiri did quite well against Southampton. I always prefer our 3rd mid is free roam attacking. the kind that can swap roles/position with either front 3. makes it more confusing for defenders to mark brows.gif
still dont understand why Klopp didnt throw in Shaqiri in when Keita got injured. start watching at 30+ mins. didnt know Keita was starting & got injury until half time sweat.gif

I'm supposed Shaqiri is too offensive to be played in the mid 3 against an opponent of Napoli's quality... And it's not a game we really need to win at all costs, but then Klopp did start his best 11.. I'm afraid only he knows what he was doing... Can't really see what he intended to achieve with such plan, starting best 11 but content with a draw.

i would rather have shaqiri, as hes able to do those typical lobbed passes to take advantage of runs...
instead of constantly trying to run directly at the defence or crossing in from the wings...

there was a point where milner tried a lobbed pass into the box, after shouting at hendo to leave it, which salah almost got to...

Klopp's desire to win the BPL this season is too overwhelming & he intends to put CL as second choice target , we should finish behind PSG in the CL's grouping ...............

Our secret weapon is our current bench warmers, esp Shaqiri with the help of Gini, Milner, Gomez. VVD & Allison & Kieta [ but he will be out for a few mths after that backbone issue.

If you see the first half game vs Soton, while Shaqiri does provide more midfield creativity, our midfield three loses balance in defensive aspect, When Soton got the ball, they could easily run to our final third. That why Klopp change the midfield personnel at half time to see out the game, and Klopp's post match interview he did the explain the reason.

This only works when facing some bus parking opponent.

Somehow I also have the same feeling that they will start. Whoever starts, I think Salah need to be dropped. The dilemma is if we play same formation with 3 upfront, I still think that Salah (with his dip in form) is still better or on par with other alternative.

No matter our strikers are Ronaldo or Ronaldinho until Neymar, IF the midfield wont supply any life feeds,
then we are totally getting f**ked up. Confirmed. Saw Henderson yesterday? Errgghh...

and here we have another very obvious case of blind hatred...
didn't we just beat soton 3-0...with hendo starting?

"Naby Keita given the all clear and is set to travel back " with the squad today " - James Pearce

That's a relief. Hope he's fit for match vs City this weekend. Btw, so many misplaced pass last night. Quite worrying to be honest.

Dont know what happen last night maybe its the pitch cause it seems everyone looked fatigued and sluggish

There one time the players were counter attacking from corner
, either robertson or TAA manage to mispass despite Mane salah and firminho were upfront against a single defender but still mispass the ball straight to the defender doh.gif
