my gx68 usage last bill was 173gb. so far so good. no speed capped . no chances get above 300gb as gx68 block torrent.

previously umobile i only take it as spare / 2nd spare line as worry the speed it offer. but surprisingly after use 2 months on my area, it offer same speed as maxis, yet cheaper + unlimited.

wondering if i should just sign up the 1 year phone plan and sell the phone . haha

I've been using U Mobile for 1 year. Last time I feel so disappointed with this telco when I used it on 2019 due to network coverage.

I tried again this year and I'm mpressed with the improvement. The network coverage is stable in my area and when I'm using GPS, I didnt experience any problem.

They have set the wrong priorities, for example both U Postpaid 68 and 98 have free 15GB roaming data, they could've used it for the hotspot quota instead so at least people can use more hotspot. Correct me if I'm wrong, but how often does an average Malaysian travel abroad especially in this situation anyways? Even if one travels abroad, they can either afford to roam or just get a tourist SIM card from that country instead.
I wouldn't put my hopes high since DNB is gonna suck the telcos dry once they accept the deal, and then telcos will probably try to bring the burden to us consumers so they still can get profit, U Mobile is already doing this now by giving pathetic amount of hotspot quota.

But hopefully still, some competition will remain so consumers can have more reasonable choices.

I wouldn't mind if there will be more players, but I feel what they said is more like a way to threaten the telcos to accept the deal. It's just too unrealistic for a new company to set up a telco business here from scratch, even if it really happens, imagine how do they start with the network coverage? 5G coverage has not even reached half of the population yet and would take years to reach the masses, and it's already too late to start with 4G too.
You can still stay with the current GX68 plan since they won't force users to switch to the newer plan yet.

Just to share latest mobile data network update i been using. Notice that in terms of 4G speed between umobile, maxis, digi during high traffic area. Umobile response is much better in terms of speed especially when surfing in safari, facebook and opening an app that requires data. Eg: opening a safari to search in google.

Also i tested in terms of speed test. UMobile is easier to achieve speed 80-100mbps even on high traffic area during jam or even commercial makan makan place.

I would rank speed and response on 4G full bar same phone model. IPhone 12
Fastest to slowest: UMobile > Maxis > DiGi (all postpaid wid no speed cap)

Good job Umobile but of course coverage wise can be further improve although certain area Umobile is better den the big two telcos.
