I too want to believe Umobile can be this generous but remember they did u-turn on hotspot thingy last year without prior notice.

The correct answer is - THere is no hotspot data for 4G. Hence thats why awee87 is unable to use on modem or 4G hotspot. Its clearly stated only for 5G.

I received a SMS early this morning from U Mobile mentioning that Ultra Hotspot is now activated. Now the SIM works on my MR600 modem. 

anyone still got sub u98 postpaid recently? the ultra hotspot offer still available? checked at shop before sign up, said no longer offered.

U Mobile is good. They offer attractive packages at affordable prices. Most of the places where I frequent are covered with 4G.

However, I am porting out this month. The main reason is that U Mobile not offering high-speed monthly prepaid plan. I don't stream a lot when I am using cellular data, so I'd rather a high-speed plan with quota than a speed-crippled plan.

So long, U Mobile. I will be keeping an eye on the website and may return once you have a better offer.

Afaik, the FUP for all GX plans is 100GB per month. 

So far, I have not been throttled to 64kbps because I stay below 100GB every month since 2019 on the GX50 plan, eg by video-streaming at 360p or 480p as much as possible. I usually use about 50GB to 80GB of data per month.

OTOH, U Mobile may have relaxed this 100GB FUP recently. Anyone has tested the 100GB FUP recently.?

If use it as a hotspot then cannot fully utilize the 5G speed (assuming 5G speed can up to 500Mbps)

There's the new unadvertised GX43 Prepaid plan in town.

Unlimited 12Mbps with unlimited hotpot sharing that comes along with it.
First 6GB will be highspeed unrestricted speed.

No 5G access though but 12Mbps is easily attainable even with 4G.

This plan was kept tight lipped and launched silently to prevent the public from hoarding their service centres seeking MNPs.
