Been a Huawei user before my note8. I had an infuriating time with huaweis UI. It was just unpolished and felt like a chore to use. The camera though nice at first is so artificial with the AI overload.

After switching to note8, been very impressed and best 16 months of smartphone ownership. If I were to upgrade it'll be purely for fun.

This guy say Sammy still better in terms of UI. I can see why cause notification handling Sammy UI still better.

one of the point:
latest huawei model come with the UI that built in some "AI" functionalities
so it will auto determine which function to turn on/off, adjust while you are using the phone
then, it took away the manual on/off/adjust setting, means user can't control it
but in fact, it become annoying, many are complaining and want to turn these functions off

example:
if your phone ringtone suddenly become so loud while inside your pocket and bag
the voice of the call frequently changing low and high, impacting both sides
but you can't turn it off or adjust

to be honest... new phones come out like water almost every months now.... yes I am like... hey that note 10 is sexy.... 12gb ram... bla..bla..bla.. so damn tempting...

but when I look back my note 8.... and my usage... naaahhh... unless note 10 or 11 or whatever come out with something for audiophile... then it will shake heart a lot...

Yes, sadly Samsung has joined the no 3.5mm audio jack bandwagon. Future as I foresee will be wireless bluetooth headphones....😱

Thank goodness, Samsung didn't go down the notch patch for their flagship. I kinda love the double punch hole, therefore the infinity O for the Note 10+ shouldn't be an issue for me.

Well, to be honest it took me a while to adjust and finally playing around with the settings and thanks to those creative wallpapers made me settle in with the double punch hole.

Initially was also very frustrated due to the lack of LED notification but I soon discovered a third party app which now works even better than the usual older LED notifications.

No worries Bro, I still use my Note 8, S-pen in particular for specific work related tasks. Like you said, it's hard to let go of an indispensable asset 🤭😉

i have many samsung earphones which will not able to use on new samsung models
the notch is fine during normal use because it is situated at the notification bar
but it is not nice when play/display with full screen such as video, photo, game

Note 11 will be exactly another year away, as the Note 10 just launched recently. Admire your patience to endure for another year, instead of going YOLO like a lot of people.

I am using Holey Light by Chainfire to get the LED notifications on my S10+. It is still in beta phase, but since it's by Chainfire and the app works remarkably, makes me a happy camper.

I admire how these app developers take the effort to come up with fixes which should have been done by Samsung in the first place.

the problem is I did changed the screen once, but I cant remember was it for Note 5, S7E, or Note 8

Honestly, I can't. That's why lah confident bawa Note 8 dan cakap nak trade in for Note 10+.
Then the tech guy do the RGB test and said "hey did you see the screen burn on top?".
I said "honestly I cant see any screen burn" LOL 
yes the Samsung guy. yes exactly on the notification bar! and I use night mode somemore...
So the tech guy said: mostly due to
i) overnight charging
ii) auto adjust brightness which may adjust till max always.

which I did both 

so I cant deny the screen burn lah
maybe a call would be easier if like that 
better check if you still have the warranty!

i thought my note 8 doesn't have screen burn issue but when i test with *#0*#, there is a little screen burn on the notification bar area.

I'm holding on to my note 8...still love it after 2 years... so now thinking of getting sony wh1000mx3 headphone...

My question is have any of you guys owner of note 8 tried listening to 1000mx3? How is the music sound quality from spotify for example?

I used to have iphone 6 paired to audio technica msr7...and I really love the sound quality... but ever since hopping to android, I can't get the same sound quality as iPhone 6 and at msr7....

You also suggested Note 10+, so why not up car onto the band wagon 😂🤣

Audiophile enthusiast spotted. Sometimes those headphones can cost equally as much as our smartphones.

Too bad Samsung did away with the headphone jack but their USB C to 3.5mm converter has built in DAC. Have you tried the sound output quality yet?

Thanks for the feedback...if the sound quality is comparable between the 2 phones,  that is what I'm guessing all this time.  Wireless headphones using own dac while wired one use phone dac....

Estimate sometime in 2021. As we already know, the 5G pilot programmes are being conducted but mainly in Klang Valley. Would take a while before they start expanding beyond
