Well, if the hardware can support the high refresh rate up to 120hz, than I don't see a reason why not. It doesn't hurt in being wishful but I guess the Note 8 didn't make the cut into that list

Don't even think about Note 9. IMHO, I doubt even the Note 10+ would be able to get the 120hz refresh rate. Confirmed is only for the S11 series 😅

Sadly, Samsung has started slowing down the security updates for the Note 8. It won't be long before they stop support for it 😓

No surprise there Bro. The Note 8 shipped with Android 7 out of the box and have gotten 2 major Android upgrades, with Pie being the last. If we want Android 10, got to flash custom ROM. Only way forward without changing the phone.

I don't see a reason why there wouldn't be one since the hardware is still able to support it. Even S7E  has Lineage OS 17 custom rom to flash 😅

That kinda sucks Bro. Hopefully the rom developers continue their efforts to produce a stable ROM. The LN17 is still considered unofficial version which will be prone to bugs.

I never seen the actual Huawei Mate Fold nor fold it, so can't really compare with the Galaxy Fold.

Not worth it than, paying RM10k for a phone that scratches easily.

Note 10 already was going for RM28xx during recent sales. Note 10+ is is trending close to 3.1k, both SME set.

Sorry to hear this Bro. I suspect it could be two separate issues. Water damage is quite instantaneous, and won't take months for it to spoil. Even though Samsung phones since S7 series have IP68 rating, best not to bring the phone underwater to avoid unnecessary problems. Btw, S11 series launch is 2 months away
