Hi, is it advisable to not push a brand new car to the limit before 1k service?

Whats the consequences in doing that? Thanks
*
On the first day i collect my car last year already go 170km/h on LEKAS highway lol. Mileage not even hit 20kms. Was rushing to attend something

But i didnt max the pedal la, just increase the speed gradually

Is it now compulsory to service your brake pad at every 10k km? There's a memo from Honda that said so. The SA guy told me.

Yes

Inspection is it?
I don't see anything new in the mainframe schedule?

I see, thanks!

Its just a front and rear brake inspection but they charge rm9.80 for it. Previously, I thought they always check during servicing, lol..
*
The rm9.80 from the grease and brake cleaner if not mistaken. Maybe they do brake bleeding together because I feel my brake pedal is more firm now.

Bleeding brakes is a big job that is only done once after maybe 2 years or maybe you complain that the brake pedal feels spongy.
Just smoother money spinner like filling up your screen washer bottle with water.
*
I didnt complaint anything prior to service. But the brake pedal really feel firm, last time the brake biting point is much lower and its tiring to press brake pedal all the way during idle in jam

I compensate the rm9.80 by eat 2 bungkus nasi lemak and 3 cups of nescafe at the sc lol

So what did they do to make the pedal firmer? I really feel the brakes are too mushy and no bite until press 70% down.
*
I dont know if they really bled the brake system for sure. But since they use grease, maybe they re-grease the caliper pin and bleed the brake at the same time.

This 3 pages link explain re-grease the caliper pin

Hi, my front disc brakes giving some "eeeeeee" sound when I braking slowly til full stop after the car just started moving. After driving for a while and the wheels have warm up, the eeeeeee noise subsides. Is it required to skim the discs brake at SC or can do it outside ? If do outside workshop will void warranty on brake or disc? I afraid doing outside workshop will replace it with old dics that have skimmed instead of directly skimming my original dics...

Usually how much SC charge for skimming disc? Can do it on weekend during service or need do on weekdays?
*
If u want to skim your disc i can recommend you a shop. They also expert with Honda. Workshop at Puncak Jalil. They skim your disc in their own shop on the spot, not trade in your disc and replace with skimmed disc

My E spec City still stock standard except for windows tint, carpet coil mat, rubber boot tray and a lot of stone chips

I will celebrate this milestone by travelling around the peninsular malaysia next weekend for total of 8 days covering 2300+/- kilometres (no toll route)

Hopefully the original battery and fuel pump will not give way during the adventure haha

hi all, just bought a honda city 2019 e spec, can i know is that any possible to use waze on car screen cause the car does not comes with the andriod auto.
*
I use iphone and connect to the hdmi port.
But i dont do that anymore because...phone battery will drain or charge very slowly. Screen brightness is terrible on afternoon, so you see nothing on the screen. It is laggy and not smooth. Your phone screen require to on all the time. You need handbrake safety bypass cable to mirror while moving. The wire gonna make your interior very messy and not nice to look at at, honda so smart to place the usb and hdmi port on headunit itself

Better just buy a good phone mount

If you want to repair at SC, just claim insurance. SC never do repair, they will replace the parts. And the cost is high, i doubt the guy will pay.

Plus, claim insurance is the safest bet. No hanky panky, u get original parts with good workmanship. Some insurance also provide 6 months - 3 years warranty for the parts claimed

How long would it take to claim insurance and get it repaired at Honda?
*
Longer than repair outside. Also depends on how fast police result come out, how long you submit documents, adjuster, etc. 2-4 weeks i estimate

For 20k km service for City, is it below 300? I check Honda schedule shows 260+, but the SC I called said that it's around 300 to 400... So expensive?
*
MY 20k service is RM310..i follow schedule in honda website but upgrade the oil to 0w-20 fully synthetic

Of course they try to sell me other stuff like alignment, engine cleaner, aircond cleaner but I politely reject and ask to follow as per website

Anyone here using Berjaya Sompo insurance? Good? From the website, it said include special peril coverage. Not sure if it is also applicable when renewing through HIP.

I just renew my 1 year old city with Berjaya Sompo last month. The benefits using HIP policy and Sompo own policy does not overlap

My car City E ncd 25% agreed value cover rm60k
Add on windshield cover rm1000 add on rm150
Topup full special perils cover add on rm100 only
Add on Unlimited towing add rm22

All in total rm1750 like that, cheaper than using HIP and better benefits

Hi guys, do u think I should buy the 2019 Honda City now? I'm not sure if the discount next year would be higher or now. I don't need the car urgently as I have one to use. Having the latest is not my biggest concern.
