Guys, the manual says "Do not unlock the door using the key. The security system alarm goes off".
Not the most well written statements, but I get the drift.

I am not able to find what to do if the remote transmitter battery is flat and the alarm goes off because I need to unlock the doors using key.

Will the alarm clear once I start the engine (by placing the remote at the start button)?
*
If remote died, you can unlock using key, alarm will sound, then use the cobra code to clear the alarm.

You should have this card when received the car.

Attached Image

How to use shown at the back of the card.

After alarm clear then you can start the car using touching the remote to the push start button method.
- Touch the remote to button for more than 10 secs, still touching, press the brake, start the car.

Done. Now drive to 7E to buy a new battery.

Simple as that.

Someone use the car for more than 4 years SHOULD know this method. This method being discussed over and over again here and at Facebook.

Thank you for your tips. I did not receive the cobra card. The manual does not state anything about manual disarming alarm.
I don't see anywhere that allows me to key in the code.
I just got my car 3 months ago, so I'd probably missed reading postings from years ago.

Hmm, I do not receive this card or find where to input the keycode. Mine is 2017 FL.
*
Sorry guys, I think my method doesn't apply to FL model as I found out FL doesn't have alarm button (some called Cobra button).

You guys need to find a new way to unlock with key and disarm alarm.

Anyway, to clear things up, Pre FL model have Alarm button.

Manual for those doesn't see it before.

Yes. The older alarm system has ultrasonic sensor to detect abnormal car movement. FL alarm system is just basic alarm system. For CFL, Honda cuts cost where its not apparent upon first impression deswai you won't hear about this in car reviews for CFL. Once owners starts to scrutinise the features, we can see what Honda took out or cuts cost from pre-FL City.
*
I test the ultrasonic sensor before and it's work. Even if left notebook or hp inside the car, the sensor can detect and sounded the alarm.

But why Honda took out. Older model also have that sensor.

Got such feature? Never notice it for my car...
*
Yes.. happen to a few person already. Alarm sounded after 3 minutes locking the car. Check all door is OK. Lock again, 3 minutes after that happen again. Decided to manual lock the car. Few hours notice phone missing and found inside the seat pocket. Take the phone out, lock the car, no more alarm.

For notebook, only happen if notebook is in ON mode or sleep mode.

Read, re-read,... Still cannot figure out if you will win 10/10 in court.
Are you saying court will throw out the case 10/10 if you initiate a court case - meaning you cannot win, or you sure win?

I'm certainly not arguing with anyone, neither was I the one who suggested DIY-ing aircon filter will not void warranty.
He suggested filter changing is a simple job and he will laugh if warranty is affected by that.
If you read carefully what I wrote, the message is "just because it's a simple job does not mean HM won't void warranty". I even gave example of changing engine oil (which is a simple job but is guaranteed to get your warranty void).

I think we both agree that it's not so much of what you and I think. Rather, it's what HM think, that determines our warranty status.

Cheers.

For those with FL HU, anybody have the same problem as me; I loaded music folders into USB drive (FolderA, B, C, D, E, F, etc).

But when playback on HU it will; play FolderA, skip FolderB, skip FolderC, play FolderD, skip FolderE, play FolderF, etc.

It seems to be randomly skipping folders for some reason but I dunno why. The HU is set to play sequentially so its not due to shuffle setting.
*
Tried to make the file/folder name really short and also doesn't have any special character. Try use English character in name because some character in Arabic or Chinese use more than 1 space.

Happen to me before and also to a few FL owner.

Getting my 1.5s in 1-2 weeks. Planning to replace the factory HU with my Pioneer from my previous car.

My concern is whether there are differences between the double din casings between 2014-2018 models. Because there all look the same to me.

user posted image

As for the wiring, is there any male-female adapter for the factory HU or have to cut wires?
*
Casing should be same. Easiest way to get the adapter for the factory harness is to buy the FL bypass cable, cut the cable and use with Pioneer. No need to cut original wire.

Correct.

QUOTE(babylon52281 @ Nov 21 2018, 11:01 PM)
Casing is the same. Whether ur Pioneer can fit nicely is another story. Double DIN itself dont have standardised dimensions.
*
Standard Double DIN mounting is 178 mm × 100 mm × 164 mm (w/h/d) - Dimension may different.

Just make sure doesn't use the Widescreen version which is for Toyota, Nissan and Subaru.
Example KENWOOD DDX-916WS, JVC KW-V520BT, PIONEER AVH-XL5750BT. This one width is 200mm.

Will do, thanks. Also any idea why sometime songs are played off sequence? ie 01... 18... 10... 02... etc
*
For Pre FL, the sequence is based on the date added to the USB - ie: modified date.

Not sure for FL.

Hmm. So based on ur and nordingh advice, I would have to wipe and rebuilt my album on the USB one by one. Create the folders (with short name) in sequence order, then copy over the songs one by one in sequence. Really mendokusai. The Japanese who designed this PoS should be  mega_shok.gif
*
Yeah... that what I do.. rearrange all in PC before transfer to USB.

lel....so many restriction, and with your comment of crappy experience, forget it then  biggrin.gif

but, what if my video size is bigger? Will they resize it? Better reso?

Honestly speaking, chances of me watching video in car, nearly nil.....

Plus, current stock HU, u cannot mirror your phone to the HU right? Example like can I mirror waze to it?
*
From my own test for FL
For any video that not playable, can convert to below format:

Container: .mp4
Video codec: x264
Video size: 640 x 360
Video bitrate : 1000 kbps or lower
Frame rate: Auto or 23fps and above, up to 30fps
Video Aspect: Auto (depend on source file)
Audio codec: mp3
Audio bitrate: 128 bits (or set nearest to original bitrate)
Sample rate: 44100khz
Audio Channel: 2
Audio Disable: No

This is from 2014 model, I think FL should use different model already as the old one easy to break, using cheapo plastic.

I remember there's some hole at the circle area also for sensing the temperature.

Mine also OK, this one from my friend. He try to fish the sensor out but can't do it, the wire too short.

Haha that is why I never use auto AC since day one. Prefer manually control the AC

What happened to his sensor initially until have to fish it out?

Wah..so troublesome one ah..
*
From my previous pic, the cover crack.

I never use auto, normally set to 21. Just control the fan.
