To take it in a positive way, I didn’t realize that I have Goku’s teleportation skill until Intel happens. 💪🏻

Hahaha, that’s one way of looking at it...

i'm currently using ipad 12w adapter + normal 2.4a cable for charging. does it consider fast charging ?
*
It's considered as "fast enough" charging, but certainly not the fastest.

thanks for the info. looking at the chart, i think i'm quite satisfied with my current 12w adapter. since it does 'fast enough' charging. and seems like anything above 18w is just a waste. so no point to get a 3rd party adapter for now.
*
Yeah, same bro. Also using 12W adapter myself thumbup.gif

QUOTE(Mazda9 @ Oct 21 2018, 11:24 PM)
Hi everyone,

My battery health maximum capacity is 88% and I have been experiencing issues with my phone battery whereby the phone will auto shut down eventough the battery is 50%. When try to on the phone says battery Low and when you plug in the charger it goes back to 50% over.

I have updated to the latest iOS and issue still persists.

According to Apple, they will only replace the battery of the battery capacity is below 80% and since my iPhone warranty is expiring in Dec, I have log a case with Apple support and their advisor has approved for FOC battery replacement as the phone warranty is still valid and has created an exception casefor the battery to be replaced eventough the battery capacity is 88% and looking at the nature of the issue, advisor supported my case and gave a go ahead approval and case number.

The reason why I contacted Apple
Support and raise and exception ticket coz knowing our Apple authorised support centre in MY, they will taichi and not change your battery and yet bill you under battery replacement programme eventough the phone is under warranty and with the exception approval given by Apple, they will have no choice but to force replace it on Apple’s Cost.

Do you guys know which Apple centre in KL has stock for iPhone X battery and can replace the battery in less than 4 hours based on experience?
*
You could try Machines' service center at Northpoint, Midvalley, but best to check if they have existing stocks of the battery.

Yes, I have confirmed with machines that machines klcc, mid valley and curve has the stock and can proceed with the replacement in less than 4 hours.
*
Have you checked if it is indeed just a battery problem, and not anything else like the motherboard?

Yes I have confirmed it’s purely battery problem as Apple Advisors has run remotely hardware diagnosis test and it’s piinting the fault to the battery.
*
Ok then, a simple solution it is smile.gif

Since my warranty is expiring in Dec, thought of only changing the battery early December as I have the Apple case I’d exception approval 😬😬 as I can still use my phone but the only thing is my battery drains fast with minimal usage but I have powerbank with me.
*
Just make sure they still have stocks by the time you want to change it smile.gif

No choice, apple wants cheap deal... qualcom expensive... imagine if can save USD1 per chip, apple saves minimum 10 millions...

As long as their legal squabble still exists, Apple users need to get used to Intel modems smile.gif

Got price drop for X?

Was thinking of getting X instead of the new Xs.
*
Price already dropped. Official RRP is now RM4299 for 64GB and RM4999 for 256GB. I guess street price could be lower. However the phone has been officially discontinued, so stock availability may be an issue.

Still available while stocks last at RM4299 for 64GB and RM4999 for 256GB. In my opinion, better value than the Xs, and not that much of difference.

But QCD Sunway pyramid, which is Apple authorize service provider, told me that there’s no battery replacement program for IpX.
So have to pay full price of 329.
*
Maybe try Machines or Mac City Service Centres?

Don’t forget the removal of SD
Apple is the only company in the world which have the brand power to consistently force not only their customers to adapt...but other brands & their customers to adopt too.
😎

Disclaimer: I still miss the fingerprint sensor, no matter how good the faceID is....
*
Well, to be fair, iPhones never had expandable storage since the beginning. At least they didn’t go and create their own memory card standard unlike.... laugh.gif

I for one don’t miss TouchID. Love FaceID!

Yup, it worked pretty seamlessly for me on my iPhone X and now it's even better and faster on my Xs Max.

Must we wait until “an unexpected shutdown” to occur first before the option to DISABLE the performance management appear?

Or is it up to user to disable/ enable just like the “Low Power Mode” function?
*
You can choose to disable it once your battery can no longer support peak performance, I guess.

Don’t understand why ppl are so paranoid about the reduce peak performance aka battery mgmt.
Iphones last for very long time and will still be viable, will still be getting updates after 3-4years.
*
Yes, and those with older phones who are paranoid about it can just do a simple thing - just change the battery smile.gif

I understand & agree with what you said. It’s a money making business anyway, regardless of manufacturer.

But my iphone6 doesn’t feel slow at all, even after 3years. Only the battery life was like crap after ~18months...down to 30% in the afternoon with “light” usage. Light is a subjective anyway.
*
Have you changed the battery? Still a couple of months left for the RM129 promo.
