Hi, I am wondering how long can we drive in Thailand ? I’m going to work in Phuket soon. Thinking to drive my car to Phuket as public transport in there is not as good as Bkk. Thanks

I just back from hatyai selfdrive with my mum and sister, when we enter yesterday  we submit the car inbound letter (and asked officer what to do next then he say just drive in to hatyai) so we missed the counter for the simplified custom declaration form.
And we came out just now we submit the car outbound letter to the immigration officer who chop the passport and she chop on that letter for me but the next counter ask for a letter so I thought it is the same letter then I told her already passed to previous officer, she asked me walk back to get it back to her. So I walked back to take back the form with 2 date chop (in and out date) but the second officer said not the outbound form and she don’t want it from me? She showed me a form which as same as the custom declaration form you posted here but I told her we don’t have, they she ask me to leave and she asked me to take back my outbound form which she don’t need.
May I know will this bring me some trouble or fine if I wanna drive into Thai with my car again?

I bought endorsement so my car insurance now covers Thailand during my period of travel, do I still need this Thailand insurance thing?

I just filled in RON91 E10 only for my VW. Much cheaper.

Oh I see, so Thai insurance is to protect Thai vehicles whereas our own insurance extension is to cover our own vehicle in case of any misfortunes. Thanks for clarifying this!
