if not mistaken... PEW got 'pp' mah... means 'red eyes'... DTW got either 'PP' or 'Pp'... means black eyes... so if DTW tails not 'dark' u cannot call PEW coz different eye's colour... maybe can call Himalayan meh...? can aaa foo... correct me ahhh...

only PINK eye, white color gerbils with red eye gene you call PINK EYED WHITE. if red/ruby eye then call RED/RUBY EYED WHITE, u remember i show u at my place, Pink eye, Red/RUby eye and Wine eye?

the problem is PEW n DTW both show pink color eye, that is why we canot tell until u breed them. i breed DTW as putting a pair which will give highest % in DTW rather PEW. but as our hot temp here effect it too. if their tail don't turn. we will never know too.

Himalayan is same as DTW. just difference country call difference name

they are 'P-' but pink eye instead of black... i tot only 'pp' can appear pink meh...? how come 'PP' or 'Pp' also can show pink...? ...

lol the chch gene make them like that... only pew n dtw looks the same. so if u r breeding DTW, u hv to pair up a pair which will give u a VERY high % DTW n a VERY LOW % PEW, cos once u breeding this pair, DTW n PEW come together. if same %, lol u will never know what is what n u cnot keep all of them till they r 5 - 6 mths old.

u mean that 'chch' not only lightens the coat but the eye's colour also...? in other word, if they have 'P-' and in the same time also got 'chch'... the effect is same like 'pp"...?

yes ch and p will lighten the color of coat, ch, p and Spotted will lighten the coat, n all recessive gene do lighten the coat.

so anything pair up n come out with chch, it looks like some out Pink eye, White color coat.

PEW: --(a) chch --(d) --(e) --(g) pp
DTW: -- chch -- -- -- P-

so once chch bang together. they come out either PEW/DTW
