He did play youth at Real Madrid it was Morata, Inter was Balotelli and maybe others and at Chelsea he played RLC,Kenedy,Bertrand Traore(the reason for transfer ban and not academy but youth),AC,Ake. Of course none of them played as starting 11 since that time look at the squad and none of the player are replaceable. Different from now, some player like Willian or Alonso can be drop since their performance is not the same as before but doesn't mean that they are not needed. If someone with talent like CHO he will surely start him since he is ready to play unlike RLC at that time that doesn't bother to make any defensive movement even when he was told to. There is a reason for Carabao and Facup and that reason is to play your youth there and let them experience difference in youth and senior league.

Guardiola did this at City this season, youth like Foden didn't play as starting 11 since the quality of the starting 11 is too good but he still played from time to time at in league and only start Carabao and Fa cup as staring lineup with other youth

Seriously people easily forget and get their mind tangled much to media and people voice then join the hate bandwagon without them realizing this themselves. People need to look and judge themselves and not just joining the hating bandwagon.

Yeah they don't play a lot but that was mostly because of how lazy RLC was at that time. Traore position was occupied by Willian,Salah and Schurrle. Even Kenedy who is LW played as LB because Hazard is undroppable.

Not to forget Mourinho take Chelsea when the player is basically under 23 at that time which basically make them a youth team. That time more than half of his squad is an actually youth player. Hazard(22),Oscar(21),Willian(24),Azpilicueta(23),Salah(21),Schurrle(22),Maric(24). Even others; Mata(25), Ramires(26), Cahill(27), Luiz(26), Mikel(26). They are young at that time and there is no need for youth to replace them.

In his first season only 5 player that is over 30 start as first team mainly because there is no proper replacement Cech(31),Lampard(35),Eto'o(32),A.Cole(32),Terry(32).

Next season
Lampard(36) was replaced by Fabregas(27), Costa(25) for Eto'o(33) and Torres(30), Courtois(22) for Cech(32). At this time only Terry(33) and Ivanovic(30) who is over 30 that play as starter. Then Zouma(19) also start for the team(might even be Terry replacement). Only Ivanovic was not replaced when Emenalo brought in Baba Rahman who is more useless than old Ivanovic in third season.
