i'll stick to my gibson fretboard conditioner.

afterall these decades no one using gibson has complained about fretboard cracking anyway tongue.gif

btw, i wonder if soon that 'doctor' will come up with some food stuff so you dont sweat since its acidic too.

I see, that is a great read !

Thanks thumbup.gif

May I know where you guys get your Gibson Fretboard Conditioner? And how much is it?

Wow I really didn't know about fretboard actually reacting to different "oil".. I actually started using Lemon Oil and continued using it because it was one of the only "oil" that easily cleaned up the dirt on my fretboards that I did not clean for a very long time before.. LOL laugh.gif

ah i see one of the concerns is the frets corroding part.
thats never a problem for gibson as they use higher quality fretwire.
i dunno about newer ibanez, but older ones do rust.

How about Fender rosewood fretboard? Can use Fret Doctor also? Where to get it and the price? Do we need special cloth to polish it? Thanks in advance. smile.gif

I've heard alot of people use steel wool to clean their maple fretboard when the dirt really gets down deep...
Although it doesn't really sound like a good idea to me.

Ok, I think this thread already served it's purpose regarding the RG guitar...... I'll close this thread down (unless TS has a good excuse, which in that case please PM me), and all other conversations can be continued in our usual Guitar Phreaks thread.
