this show that Fernando are real fast ... he should be in pole is without this.. his first sec n 3rd sec was quicker than Kimi...

Fernando Alonso, McLaren (2nd, 1m 31.741s):
"The most important news is obviously that Lewis (Hamilton) is okay. During my final qualifying lap I had a big moment at Turn Five and I am really lucky that I got out of it without spinning. However it cost me more than half a second so I am pleased to be on the front row. We have made good progress during the weekend and my car in contrast to yesterday was working really well. I am looking forward to the race tomorrow."

Looking good for 3rd consecutive win.

See?
Anything can happen in a GP.
Hamilton crash...likely to start 10th and no podium.
Or not to race at all.

Kimi all the way.

QUOTE
Lewis Hamilton must wait until another medical check on Sunday morning before discovering if he can race in the European Grand Prix.

McLaren, however, has given him the all-clear after a precautionary CT-scan check at the nearby military hospital in Koblenz.

Championship leader Hamilton returned to the Nurburgring from hospital on Saturday afternoon, and in a McLaren statement said he was 'absolutely fine' and wants to race despite the 250kph qualifying crash.

Ron Dennis told reporters that there is no medical reason that will keep him out of the car.

But FIA medical delegate Gary Hartstein will have the final say, when he examines the British rookie at 9.30 on Sunday morning.

"I'm feeling fine," Hamilton told reporters in the paddock. "I'm very fortunate, very lucky I haven't got any bruises - although I'm sure tomorrow I'll wake up with some!"

Surely Alonso under pressure again brows.gif
I it's true Alonso got a lighter car...then he needs to leap over Kimi.
Otherwise, Massa will hunt him.... thumbup.gif tongue.gif

Kimi wants to beat Lewis on the track

Wheel gun failure caused Hamilton shunt

Did you guys saw he's on his knees and then lay down?
Some dizzyness etc. I guess.
Huge impact kan.

Looking at Lewis' crash, it it gave me shivers of Senna's fatal crash at Imola which was also off a left hander at similar speed and angle. Both cars came to an abrupt halt, infact I reckon Lewis stopped faster, however Senna was without the HANS device, which wasn't around in those days, and also the wall he hit was a lot harder. Crying or Very Sad

I hope Hamilton race tomorrow but I suspect the medics will differ. However, looking at other examples I feel crashes like these fire drivers up to do even better. Schumacher qualified a whole second ahead of the rest of the field when he came back from his broken leg at Malaysia 1999, while Kubica has rediscovered his superiority to Nick Heidfeld since his smash in Canada.

I watched TV2 one (as usual getting sick of Allen's praises on you know who)
You guys?

I almost forgot about his mistake.
I saw him 'clapping' his finger tips.
Celebrating Lewis's crash or celebrating his fastest lap after Lewis crashed? tongue.gif

Q: (Ian Parkes - The Press Association) Fernando, just for our information, can you just confirm the speed that the car was going where Lewis came off?
FA: I don't know but... 260, 270 (kph) maybe.

QUOTE
A failure on the wheelgun, or at least the wrong pneumatic air pressure applied to it, was at the root of Lewis Hamilton's qualifying accident at the Nurburgring. To summarise, the fault meant it was not possible for the mechanic changing the right-front wheel to completely fasten the wheel nut (1), although it did allow the safety pin (2) to be pulled into its required position, preventing the wheel nut loosening completely and hence the wheel falling off. The result of the fault was a small gap (5 - in yellow) between the central mounting of the wheel (3) and the brake disc holder (4). This allowed the wheel an abnormal degree of freedom in relation to the aforementioned assembly and the inner edge of the rim started touching and scratching against the edge of the carbon fibre brake drum (6), damaging the rim (7) and causing the sudden deflation of the tyre

So, if Lewis is alright, he jumped into a new car, where would he start his race?

Back of grid?

10th.
But, I think he must had a concussion at least.
We'll see how he recover during race day.
