I was at the checkout page for T&L and still couldn't make up my mind...and finally decided to pass and wait for official launch here....if not for the dual sim warranty issue I would have pulled the trigger...

Heard only hk and China sets get dual sim...

Wondering which will be more sought in the near future, the dual sim which might not have warranty covered here, or the 1x sim my set...

they only have eSim for Huawei watch so far... but im not surprised if they implement it into xs in the near future..

they even removed the headphone adapter on the xs

Yes comes with earpod but not the adapter for headphone jack...

This year many already pulled the trigger...not so many going to wait for telco launch?

That would depend on the warranty whether can we claim it here in Malaysia...

And I have been hearing people say esim might be common here like nano sim etc...hmm

exactly I was about to pull the trigger the other day on qoo10 ... but last minute decided not to..

only this time when apple make dual sim for hk/cn/macau but not other countries.. before this yes warranty is international...

I actually claimed warranty from machines on my iphone 6s plus hk set and iphone 7 plus aus set...and was told that the local AASP covers warranty for international set besides US.


somewhat I feel skeptical sending my phone back to T&L (although if feels as if they send it back to Apple HK) but there is no black and white stating that. it clearly stated "seller warranty", so in the event if they really change parts in your phone, there is no way to dispute anything at all..compare to sending your unit back to AASP with receipts and all.... I think I'd opt for latter..

already paying premium price for the unit, don't want to go through unnecessary worries about the faith of your phone etc.

true that, there is no black and white stating the international warranty coverage... sigh, i'll just wait for msia release la...will be soon and less headache

I am betting on mid oct

celcom and digi already teasing on their main website... but of course that doesn't mean anything.. but looking at past records , iphone 7 launched 15 oct... and I think iphone 6s launched around that time too..

hold your gun and wait for next year's new design... a lot of my friends holding back for that reason too.

do u think it'll be harder to sell hk set next year? or the dual sim set will be more sought after than local eSim?

Try to hold lock button + volume up together for 3 secs, the ‘slide to power of’ will appear....

Any early adopters facing such issue?

Well yes, since the x you have to hold both buttons to get it power off...Older models would get it done with just power button
