erm.. as for me, I not yet experience wayar putus lar (touch wood), but there are a few times my bracket came off... it came off when I brush my teeth (the dentist say I quite rough

) and another time it happened after I woke up, coz the lower bracket was in contact with the upper 1...Another 1 was when I tried to get something out (in between the gap) then it came off...
oh, yeah, the first few days after the bonding process, the "glue" (or the cement??

) not that hard yet, so you have to be extra cautious...
when you brush, brush slowly, but make sure you get through all the parts... especially the ones at the back...then after brushing, check your mouth throughly, see got any food stuck some more or not... then use the small small brush to brush in between the brackets... that's what I do lah...
dun worry... lama-lama you know the technique 1....
about the porridge, I remember the first 2-3 days I ate porridge loh, then I complained very sien to my mom then she cooked koey teow sup for me...
until now, sometimes after bite hard things, I will feel slight pain de woh... but today, I tried to eat a big burger and succeeded! YESSS!

For my case, actually there is not much of feeling unless you bite food.. the wire is very stong (if not mistaken, it is titatium), so you have no worry. Just don;t brush too hard till the braces drop off.
Not sure if you aware on the method of brushing teeth ? All the while, we been told to using up and down method when brushing teeth. However, after we installed braces, we must change to left to right, right to left brushing method on 90 degree, then 135 degree, 45 degree to clean the braces. You may buy the small triangle brush to clean the gap between the 2 teeth - behind the wire(of couse using up and down method this time).
Also, your tooth brush should use the orthodontic tooth brush (I am using ORAL B). You can get it from Watson easily. The brush is in V shape. Prices about RM7.50.
actually, you still can eat rice. Just ask your mum cook the rice softer. I admit a bit hard to eat but try to using back teeth to bite lo.. or else, you will bored on the porridge after few week later. You will get thiner too (I lost 5 KG)

Try to balance your nutrition, to maintain your health.
I am not sure if you have to install "bite stop" behind your front teeth in future. If so, then your only choice of meal will be porridge only. Because when you close your teeth, upper and lower teeth can't touch each other at all, so u need to swallow food without bite.
Enjoy food while you still can have some bite

yea...after installed braces liao change to left and right...sakit wei...lolz...bought all da stuff in How...sigh...damn...i can bite using my back teeth but takut food get stuck there...lolz...geramnyaa...so what have u guys been eating so far?...need to list down my menu...lol...
