TBH, if you look closely enough Sammy is also trying to go the "ecosystem" route and I don't think it's working out that well for them either so I don't really think that's the entire story.

But yeah, like I initially mentioned, once you put the price (and illogical Apple restrictions aside), the X (and entire series by extension) is a pretty well sorted out device - especially on the "experience" side, as you yourself have mentioned.

Note 9 has the S Pen, ip68, dual front facing speakers and a bigger battery.

However, the One Plus 6T will be much smoother/more responsive than the Note 9
