Oneplus phones has been waterproof since the 5T. The reason given by Oneplus for not IP certifying their phones is because it would costs a lot of money to get them certified and the costs will be passed on to consumers.

You have got a point there. That is why I'm not saying anything until they release their prices. TBH, if their prices are in the range of the S10+,P30 Pro then there would not be a reason to get a Oneplus anymore.

But the price drop faster when next models release

compare to huawei and samsung that drop its price massively even without new model

for what it is, i think might worth , warp charges, ufs 3.0, pop up selfie, 90hz qhd screen, 4000mah, oxygen os, it offer something others doesn't offer

I have a different opinion on the pop up camera. Novelty yes, innovation yes, style yes.    But when it comes to functionality and usability, then its the otherwise. I'm not too confident about the pop up and slide down mechanism, how long it will last. The other concern would be, how can we use facial recognition to unlock the phone?

It is. Only until you root it, does the phone loses it's waterproofing capability.




On a serious note, I would put Oneplus phones as being water resistant rather than waterproof. The reason the phone is not certified means Oneplus will not be warrantying any water damage on the phone.

My last Sony was the Z5. After that no more Sony for me.

i still have z5 compact with me, it's good phone
their price and not follow trend kills them, look at their design, thicc but small battery
