Sideloaded the update, not a fan of how the VPN icon is now in the status bar. I have been using VPN adblock all these while without having the key icon in status bar, now it's an eyesore.

Realised that if use the pixel style nav button it's very sensitive. Like if I press the back button sometimes it recognize as swipe up to recent apps, or sometimes I swipe up it'll quickly direct me to the last open app. A bit annoying.

QUOTE(Seng89 @ Sep 22 2018, 06:57 PM) I'm used to the OnePlus nav gesture, been using it since launch day. Now trying the pixel style nav bar and still not used to it. Feels that it's a bit slower and buggy (the bugs I mentioned) |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Sep 22 2018, 07:55 PM) Yep myself I prefer the Oreo gestures. Does the Pixel style pill scroll work? Like to scroll through the recents list? Yes it does. But I don't really fancy that feature as well tbh. Like if u scroll thru the apps and decides to go to home screen instead, u can't. U have to select one of the app in the list then only can go home because when u're scrolling through the apps the 'home button' disappears. |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Sep 22 2018, 07:55 PM) Yep myself I prefer the Oreo gestures. Does the Pixel style pill scroll work? Like to scroll through the recents list? I was finally able to replicate the back where if u press the back button it'll jump to recent all instead. Here's how:1) Open any app and the back button will appear. 2) Instead of pressing precisely on the back button, press slightly to the left of it (the blank space on the left of the back button). 3) Now instead of going back it goes to the recent app menu. Now this is annoying cause you have to be very precise with where you press, slightly to the left of the back button and it'll trigger the recent all menu. That's ridiculously stupid. |

QUOTE(limyuyang @ Sep 22 2018, 09:33 PM) I'm on stable android pie, but currently facing an issue. I have no problems taking screenshots, but have problems with using the pixel pil nav bar. Press slightly to the left of the back button will trigger recent app menu instead of going back I couldn't take a screenshot using vol up + power button or by long pressing power button and select screenshot. It shows an error message "couldn't save screenshot", anyone facing the same issue ? edit: fixed ady |

QUOTE(limyuyang @ Sep 23 2018, 04:19 PM) Indeed the pixel bar has the issue you've mentioned, when I try to press the bottom left of the nav bar, it takes me to recent app. I'm glad I'm not the only one facing this issue. It makes the pixel Pil style nav bar almost unusable because you have to be so precise with where u press. Shame really cuz I was just about to really like the pixel nav bar :/ |

QUOTE(xxboxx @ Sep 29 2018, 10:06 PM) Does the problem still persist? I no need to press exactly on the BACK button yet it still recognized it. Yes it is. I've reported the bug on OnePlus forum and already sent the log files to the dev team. They're working on it and hopefully they'll come up with a solution soon. The BACK button is to be pressed, while to evoke RECENT swipe up anywhere also can, include swipe up at BACK button. Maybe when pressing BACK the system interpret your thumb touch as swipe up. What I'm not to used to yet is the short slide left to open last used app. Slide too much and it open second last used app instead. Slide too little and it interpret as pressing the HOME button instead |

QUOTE(xxboxx @ Sep 30 2018, 09:56 AM) I need the HOME button because I use the double tap to screen off. Oneplus didn't have any other method from screen to off it, during Oreo time I also have to use the normal Android nav keys. I'm now using full screen gesture, the Pil nav bug is too buggy for me to use lolMaybe they'll fix it with next update. You still using Pill nav keys or full screen gesture? The only way to split screen now is have to press the 3 small dot on top of the app? Hold and drag doesn't seem to work anymore. Long screen is good for split screen but now more difficult to split screen. |

Oneplus didn't have any other method from screen to off it, during Oreo time I also have to use the normal Android nav keys. Forgot to mention there's a small 'fix' for the back button bug. Which is to simply use another launcher.Maybe they'll fix it with next update. You still using Pill nav keys or full screen gesture? The only way to split screen now is have to press the 3 small dot on top of the app? Hold and drag doesn't seem to work anymore. Long screen is good for split screen but now more difficult to split screen. I tried using the latest leaked pixel launcher and the back button works as it should. No accidental triggering the recent apps menu no matter where I press. So that's good, but when swiping up the Pil to access the recent apps menu the animation is a bit off, u can compare using both OnePlus launcher and pixel launcher the OnePlus launcher's animation is a lot smoother. |

QUOTE(xxboxx @ Oct 2 2018, 05:32 PM) Maybe because I'm not using OnePlus launcher that's why didn't have much bug. Personal I don't find the OnePlus launcher to be laggy, it's very smooth for me and I enjoy using it. Only problem is the back button bug or else it's honestly perfect. I suspect it's the OnePlus launcher animation conflicting with the back button that's why it pulls up the recent app menu.I try the OnePlus launcher and feel the touch registered a bit lag. And also need to wait the animation finish else the touch won't registered. Edit: now I understand what you mean. I just tried the latest leaked pixel launcher, the lag quite bad. Compared it with OnePlus launcher, OnePlus feels much more fluid. But the launcher I been using is the Rootless Pixel Launcher, v3.7 to be exact. It is buttery smooth. Yup the pixel launcher and any other launcher will have that lag with opening recent apps. No idea how did OnePlus missed all these bugs. |

At least he's contributing to the thread, what did u contribute here by posting such nonsense? If u feel his post is too long then don't read, he's not forcing u to so no need be so toxic. |

any one using apps to check their battery capacity? I just started using AccuBattery yesterday to check how much of my battery degraded, shows my battery now only 78% capacity, only 2558mAh/3300mAh. Been using OP6 since launch day in May, degrade a bit too fast no? :/
p/s: I only charge the device twice after downloading the app, both times charge from about 50%++ to full 100% This post has been edited by ace-user: Oct 18 2018, 11:55 AM |

QUOTE(marcyeo @ Nov 2 2018, 12:45 PM) Same, but I would love to have the option to use the pixel nav bar too but it's so buggy But damn the OnePlus gestures are so freaking smooth it blows my mind. Especially the app switching, the animation is seamless. |

QUOTE(marcyeo @ Nov 2 2018, 01:59 PM) On any app home page such as insta or Twitter news feed, press the left corner of the nav bar. Means press the blank space on the left of the back button, it'll not go back but instead bring up the recent apps menu. This is how it looks like: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oc_-KmvlJ4...ew?usp=drivesdk |
