I'm on stable android pie, but currently facing an issue.

I couldn't take a screenshot using vol up + power button or by long pressing power button and select screenshot.

It shows an error message "couldn't save screenshot", anyone facing the same issue ?

edit: fixed ady

What was the fix though? Might be useful for others facing the same issue.

ace-user Yeahhhhhh, now kinda sounds like the "old way" was better lol. Hopefully they give us an option for that in future builds but I'm not particularly hopeful.

Plus the old style also had zero static UI elements vs this Pill and back button in the "new" one (even if they autohide). Zero static UI elements = better against AMOLED burn-in.

But eyyy, "near stock Android" rite.

Ahhh. So only JPGs for Pie screenshot then.

BTW, testing a new toy for the OP6, a compact, micro gimbal that doesn't suck too hard: The X-Sight 2S.

Attached Image

Only a 2-axis (x/y) unit but hey, its TINY when folded up and hopefully the OIS/EIS (and technique) will sort out the missing axis (z). Plus, it works with the Honor 360 Cam for some sweet cheapo stabilised 360 vids, which is a nice bonus.

Also in line to beta test the Shirui Pocket 1-axis unit... but I'm not entirely sure how that one can outperform the X-Sight, except probably in terms of size and price.

So on Android pie, pressing the volume button will adjust the media volume only , and seems like there's no other slider to adjust the ring volume.

Anyone figure out how to adjust the ring volume on Android pie ?

Oh mai. Did they link Media/Ring as they did Ring/Notification on Oreo? Don't tell me a single slider controls Media/Noti/Ring now?

Maybe it's hidden somewhere under the "Sound" setting or under DND, try checking under those two.

Download Oxygen Updater through Play Store and update manually? There's a few more steps involved though VS auto-pushed OTA, but it's not that hard IMHO.

I have no problems taking screenshots, but have problems with using the pixel pil nav bar. Press slightly to the left of the back button will trigger recent app menu instead of going back bangwall.gif so annoying, can u try to replicate this bug? Just try to press the left corner of the nav bar (left of the back button). Make sure u're using the pixel nav bar.

Yeah. The app itself is actually nothing more then a downloader for the official FW zips. That said, do keep in mind that if you're rooted you can ONLY flash FULL FW zips, not the partial zips you get as part of the standard OTA.

If you're not rooted, then yeah you can download the partial zips, and follow the given instructions to update.

Are you unlocked? Did you install Magisk (which can be configured to be hidden but that's beside the point)? Have you ever been rooted or unlocked before (as both processes might leave folder traces on your system that your company app might pick up).

If not that's rather peculiar.

Indeed the pixel bar has the issue you've mentioned, when I try to press the bottom left of the nav bar, it takes me to recent app.

I'm glad I'm not the only one facing this issue. It makes the pixel Pil style nav bar almost unusable because you have to be so precise with where u press. Shame really cuz I was just about to really like the pixel nav bar :/
