Wht probably u mean is voltage regulator. The common one is LM317T which can provide up to 1.5A. There r also 3A & 5A ones.

Hahaha..used adjustable transistor last sunday..guess what..it burnt!!!!on fire!!!!Waaa!!!maybe the voltage too high for the transistor!! wish.gif

Wht's an adjustable transistorż Think u mean variable resistor (VR). If the fan's current rating is higher than that of the VR definitely cant withstand lah

No need for a PCB...jst use veroboard. U may hav a look @ pics I posted in my gallery as reference

Can get it off kits in electrical or hardware shops. I can still remember working on circuits like this during kemahiran hidup classes lastime tongue.gif

can, why not ? get a plastic cutter . or simple blade will do but need to put more pressure

thats called a controller knob(variable resistor knob), you can find it at electronic shops.
