Yar .. I aslo strongly suggest to start from spinning. Get the feel of casting first. If not u'll not be able to get the advantage of using BC over spinning. Learn to walk first before attempting to run.

Just my 2 cents.

The trip is unsure yet, but i wish for both sexes to join in. smile.gif So the place would not be extreme hardcore session but more to chilling out sessions.. smile.gif

To all P9 Participants.

The order of the jigging assist hooks are completed. I managed to purchase good quality but cheaper kevlar lines thus the package have a little change.

The previous set was a 3 single assist hooks per set, and i have revised it to 2 double assist hook set. The hooks are Mustad jigging hooks and in total there are 4 hooks in the size of 3/0 in the double assist hook

Please confirm your sets required.

1. Bro Q - 2 sets
2. Bro Ho - 3 sets
3. Bro Nottie - 2 sets

Overall hooks needed for a complete setup is 2 assist hooks, where 1 will be placed near to the top jig portion and the 2nd one will be at the range of 50% of the jig length.

Added on June 18, 2007, 11:54 amPresenting the completed rod.

Rod: 2 piece (Handle and blank)
Rating: PE 3max
Guide: 5+1 Zirconia Guides
Name of the rod: Lizard from the Thorn bush

Total build up takes about 2.5 weeks where total spend hours are about 20hrs.

These are the steps that i did
1. Firming the design of the handle
2. Cut and shaping the EVA foam to my desired design.
3. Epox the EVA, reel seat and gimbal matching to my desired handle design.
4. Finding the backbone of the blank and curve parabolic
5. Firming the design of the blank
6. Fitting in the underlay/under wrap for guides
7. Epox the underlay/ under wrap
8. Fitting in the guides, and tape it temporary
9. Check backbone and parabolic curve again and review the movements of the guide.
10. Guide wrapping
11. Epox the guides, and dry.
12. Epox again for firming the guides placements.
13. Let dry for 2~3days.
