KEWELL DISMAY AT AUSTRALIA DEFEAT

Paul Eaton 13 July 2007

Harry Kewell has called for his Australian teammates to 'pull their finger out' after an embarrassing 3-1 loss to Iraq in the Asian Cup.
The pre-tournament favourites will crash out of the competition if Thailand take a point off them in their final group match on Monday, and Kewell insists a massive improvement is needed by everybody to keep their tournament dreams alive.

"I can't even put that (how bad the performance was) into words really," Kewell said.

"The players need to pull their finger out - and I'm no exception. If you look at my own performance, it was poor.

"We've only got a few days to turn this around - and we have to. It's a disappointing night, and I think everyone feels sorry not only for the manager but for the team and supporters."

I never watch this malaysia cup or asia cup when malaysia playing on the field with one simple reason, WE ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH AND WE ARE DOING NOTHING TO SOLVED THIS ISSUE EFFECTIVELY. No matter how much we clap our hands for them, they just can't make it... doh.gif

I'll go for 4-0 to the Uzbeks. This time I think the national players will play a little bit careful, but still got beaten by 4 goals.

As for the next match, if Iran win today and qualify to the next round, they probably beat us 3-0. If they have to win to qualify then I'll go for 6-0.

3-0 ... Uzbeks wont score a lot because they will save energy for the final match against china...3 points is not enuf for a last 8 berth...

i watched Aussie vs Iraq match. The aussie players all look tired and no motivation to play at all. Play like headless chicken without strategy. IMO, the new coach really can't replace Guus Hiddink. Now they need to beat thailand to qualify for next round. Japan should be tournament favourite. tongue.gif

this is the kinda attitude that makes msia football even more shitty... vmad.gif

"oh im so much higher above the rest...im so smart to know that msia cant play well so i dont support.....only u dumbasses go support...."

as weve discussed prior to this...alot msians r like that esp the chinese....i can put my money on that u r chinese..... sweat.gif sweat.gif

anyway wat im trying to say is...we shud hav more support for our local football...if this tournament u boycott....understandable.....but not watch msian cup?? u dunno how much history its got in it.....can u still call urself a msian??? sweat.gif sweat.gif
