lol I feel like an idiot wasting my time reading from the previous read post to the latest, while MANY of the people here just skip all of those posts and ask the very same questions over and over again  doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif

Easier to just ask directly right?
Why waste time to read all posts when nobody tends to do so?
Can increase post counts somemore.
Wondering if the staffs/moderators do their jobs to monitor such activity hmm.gif

For those who wonders why banks start to cut the card benefits, found one notice at UOB MY website:

Attached Image

The upper cap of the MDR is 0.675%

Correct if I'm wrong.

It is not a secret, Bank Negara already announced their plan in December 2014.
It will go down to not more than 0.48% in 18 months.
Maybank will devalue TP again by next year and gradually remove the rebate on some common categories, beginning from Government and Utilities, then e-wallets, next may be Petrol, Groceries, Insurance...

I'm aware of the road map but some tends to deny the fact.
Well, it is just a sharing.
Take it as a pinch of salt for those who don't want to accept the fact.

Bigpay @ FCB VS: "Financial Services" all the while as MCC-6*** (10/2018 - 28/6/2019), not recorded in "pie-chart" - 29/6/2019.

Boost @ FCB VS: "Utilities" (MCC 5968) from 8/2018 ("Celcom-RPS") to early 3/2019 ("Boost App")
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3711577

I didn't use FCB VS to top up Boost again since 13/3/2019, after Boost upgraded their top up system ("Boost App SSL-EC" or "Boost App 3D-EC" appear).

Boost @ Amex: "Telecommunications" from 13/3/2019 to 18/6/2019, then "Others" from 20/6/2019 but not recorded in "pie-chart" on 29/6/2019 - 30/6/2019, 3/7/2019. Maybe Maybank had re-assigned a new MCC to Boost (another system upgrade) in June 2019.

It is just an academic answer. Maybank will no longer give CB on Bigpay and Boost after this weekend.

So what is the conclusion for this?
Any loophole from the above combination that we can still squeeze from to get the very cash back from e-wallet beyond 7th July?

indeed i prefer JomPAY which is more easy way and standardize for bill payment. but MBB excluded JomPAY for rewards unlike UOB
*
Don't worry, I'm foreseeing UOB to exclude JomPay for YOLO eligibility very soon.

Good things never last and will come to an end.

But I thought Amex already excluded 5% from utilities? TM should be considered utilities as well right?

*
TM is not utilities for MBB.

Only MCC 4900 is considered as utilities for MBB.

If my statement date is 06-July. Swipe Rm100 Amex top up BP at 2pm on 06-July and very likely posted at the same date which is on 06-July.

Question, Does above transaction fall under which statement date? 06-July or 06-Aug?
*
Statement date doesn't mean anything to MBB.

MBB cash cycle is based on calendar month.
Spend within the calendar month; cash back will be awarded if meet requirement by 2nd day of following month.

I totally understood that. Would like to delay payment to another month if possible.
Any idea?
I'm sorry rclxub.gif , top up to boost. not BP.
*
If it is posted on the same day on statement date, it will appear as billed amount.
You have to pay that off by payment due date.

i think Maybank should not remove e-wallet and do something like others did, with FCFS so that more people spend their card rather than after today lost a lot of customers
*
That's what you think only.
They're Malaysia largest bank.

anyone if the recent revision for e wallet cash back affect Samsung pay?
*
Samsung Pay is not really a e-wallet.
It doesn't store money; it just passes the transaction to the card.

Otherwise, make a call to CS to confirm.

u dump in RM1000 per month to get the RM50 CB?

might consider citi CB which got 10% CB although only RM15 capped, but only need RM150/month to get RM15, if use for 6 months only RM900 but get RM90 CB
*
Citibank CB needs to meet min spending for RM 1500.

Citibank Cash Back got 2 levels: Normal (min spending is RM 500) and Platinum (min spending is RM 1500)

Normal: 10% is capped at RM 10 per category
Platinum: 10% is capped at RM 15 per category

Am I stupid or what?
And you really made look like an idiot!

OT from mbb thread, for this citi cb spending, you can either reload boost/bp for that RM500 or RM1500 to fulfill the mission.

then spend the amount. eg. petrol / reload grab / grocery / eat. to get the max cb on each catagory.
*
RM 500 is easy to achieve.
RM 100 x 4, you already achieve 80%.

Headache comes if you're holding Platinum and you need RM 1500 to achieve.

still same, just reload RM1100 to boost/bp. settle case.  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

I don't do cash out with Boost.
I still got RM 300+ in Boost from previous top up with Citibank CB.
Also not a frequent Boost user due to geographically constraint (not at Klang Valley).
