Yes, anywhere is fine so long it accepts AmEx.

Once a while I will receive SMS to make payment even though before the due date. That’s fine. Just now one CS even made a call to remind me to make payment? The due date is this Friday. I asked her if she could check her record, since when I will make late payments? sweat.gif They should go after those who are always late. I mean if we are late to make payments, isn’t that better for them? laugh.gif

If you pay minimum and not full then good for them.

Don't pay at all is a problem because that becomes bad debt (and then their risk calculation turns upside down).
*
I see but if no payment will affect one’s CCRIS too.

Did you miss any payment before?

I receive once in a while, and this month I received for all three methods. I have never missed a payment since I've had their cards for more than a decade.

Your Amex CC has an expiry date longer than 10 years?
Every time, the card is renewed, the number should change.
My CC has an expiry of 3 to 6 years only.
*
The card no. won’t change if expired, only CVV will be changed. This applies to all banks and all types of cards. I’m using the same AmEx no. for more than 10 years already.

QUOTE(Xflkekw @ Aug 3 2025, 10:58 PM)
I have a question regarding cash back eligibility for Maybank 2 Card Platinum.

If I make a transaction on Sunday 11.59 PM and it definitely will only get posted the next day on Monday, is the transaction still eligible for cashback?

Was abit confused from Maybank's FAQ:

5. In order to entitle for Cash Back, the retail transaction has to be posted into the account by merchants (not floating).

6. Tracking of the spend is based on transaction dates (Malaysian Time) and the time in which the transactions are successfully posted in Maybank’s system throughout the usage of the Card. The Cash Back awarded is based on the transaction date processed by the merchant according to the local time zone of the origin country where the transaction was made. If the transaction does not fall on a weekend due to time zone difference, it is not eligible for Cash Back. For the purposes of this terms and conditions, “spend” means retail spend made by Cardmembers with their Maybank Credit Card(s) within the validity of the Card as captured by Maybank’s system

7. If the transaction is made within the calendar month but posted in the following cross month, the Cash Back will be awarded and calculated in the following month’s statement (e.g transaction
dated 30/4 and posted on 01/05, the cash back will be calculated in May statement)
*
Yes. Transaction date determines the eligibility of cash back while posting date determines the month of cash back. If it’s not posted within the same month (usually for transactions at the last day of month), then it will be calculated into following month’s quota.

I cancelled my Mastercard Platinum (the one with Amex) in Nov 2024. I have been using for 10 yrs. Didn't know can do it earlier, thanks to reading lowyat.
*
Good to know it is still possible in 2024. So, if customers before 2018 then get it cancelled.

My sister on another hand been using more than 10 years too and still keeping the Visa though I told her don't do it. bangwall.gif

I cancelled mine in 2018.

So what u mean is that I can cancel it now if I'm a member since 2014? or like the cancelling window closed since 2018? or would it be worth a try? I should just call the customer service line to ask right?
*
Can even cancel now if you are a user before 2018. Yes, can try calling CS since someone tried last year and still possible.

I have a few question

1) i already have MBB 2 plat. Is it possible to apply for MBB 2 gold and would the monthly cashback cap be separate between the plat and gold?
*
No. One IC only one cash back regardless how many M2C you have.

Do i get rebate if i pay Astro/ Unifi using MB2U website for Amex Islamic Plat?
*
AmEx Ikhwan? No. But pay using their apps yes. AmEx Ikhwan doesn't give cash back for bill payments via M2U. If M2Cards, yes.
Anyway, AmEx Ikhwan thread: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=4103568
