Despite that, many places do accept amex as well. Major grocery chain, speedmart, petrol at petronas and shell... all do accept.

Even shopee and lazada accept. Your phone bill etc also can. The 10x is not permanent definitely still a good campaign

The key thing is spend on amex during weekend. 5% cashback is really awesome. I have been using this card for 9 years and counting.

Everything will get transferred, including your point balance and outstanding balance. The card upgrade is very minor. Some people don't bother with it.

If you want higher credit limit, you can always increase it even on the gold card. Maybank makes it quite easy to request via m2u.

Upgrade is definitely new number. Different card. You only holding amex. I won't risk paying extra rm25 (being reissued the master/visa) for almost no benefit at all. Subject to approval is probably standard script la.

Unless you value the travel insurance on the plat version. Even that travel insurance is very minimal coverage, highly advisable you buy an actual travel insurance.

You have to get used to asking if the merchant accept amex. If they do or dont, you just have to remember and move on. Most main chain do accept amex. We have another thread Places that Accepr Amex. You can refer to that. But you will start to have muscle memory after awhile.

Petrol, if you pump shell petronas, you dont need petrol voucher. 99.9% accept amex. Other brands i am not familiar.

Ultimately depends on the posting date for the transaction. if the posting date is 1 April or later, then it will be counted towards April's RM50 quota.

but given actual experience, barring aside overseas transaction, local transaction tend to be same posting date for me most of the time. petrol can be an exception but also usually same day.

M2U allows bill payment directly with amex. That's how i pay my hotlink postpaid and unifi. Because on the vendor side cant use amex.

8th feb is a weekend. I will still get cashback using march quota right? Hahaha. I mean i know if we swipe 30 march and posted 1st april, it is april quota.

It should not matter even though the transaction get posted 1.5 months later?
