Regarding the phone call , wondering why for outside malaysia it is using the number +603 while 24-hour service using the 1800 / 1300 ?
isn't +603 use in Malaysia ? sweat.gif
*
there's a reason why overseas to call the +603 fixed dialing, right? laugh.gif

1800/1300 routing is for local only, definitely not accessible/no connectivity to outside.

iirc, mcmc requested telcos not to charge for 1300/1800 to customers years ago.

but inter-connect fee still applies between operators, whereby terminating operator (receiving) gotta pay the originating operator (initiating)

i.e telcos making money for receiving these calls laugh.gif

QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Oct 18 2018, 11:50 AM)
will kena sst again if upgrade?
*
no idea. you can try asking their CS.

1300 still chargeable at local call rate.

1800 - Free Calls
1300 - Local Call (rate)
*
whatever the number is, just call local fixed number is safer

just called, the cs was nice. she said she'll apply the sst waiver for me. not sure if the waiver will be successful or not la haiz. think i'll have to make few more calls to cancel the remaining cards that i don't use.
like the hsbc amanah and public bank's quantum visa
*
yes, mbb cs is quite ok, imo. biggrin.gif

since you're planning to cancel anyway, calling them directly would yield faster and fruitful results too. furthermore, you would have few follow-up questions too, so CS is the best way to tell you.

true that, just trying to see if anyone else was in the same situation like me so i know what to expect
as i mentioned, the waiver seems a little uncertain. i'll have to wait till my next statement to see if it is waived, since i just received this month's statement a few days back
*
mbb has the prerogative to approve or reject any requests anyway. since this is card termination, they would give it a review.

no need wait next statement. if approved, the amount would be shown as unbilled transaction in the history. give it a few days.

Dear Valued Cardmembers,

- Walk-in to any Maybank Card centres or branches.
- Call us at Maybank Group Customer Care as per telephone number at the back of your card.

Terms & Conditions:

- Service Tax RM25 redemption is equivalent to 10,000 TreatsPoints/Membership Rewards
- Service Tax redemption can only be made once it is reflected in the Cardmembers’ card statement.
- Cardmembers are allowed to redeem limited to the number of Principal and Supplementary Cards under his/her account.

QUOTE(kart @ Oct 23 2018, 06:14 AM)
We all know that for Maybank credit cards, 10000 Treatspoints are needed to offset RM 25 Card Service Tax.

Let’s say that I have only one Maybank credit card. Suppose that I have insufficient Treatspoints as of now, and RM 25 Card Service Tax has been charged to my credit card and becomes a part of my statement balance. With that, I have to pay RM 25 Card Service Tax.

Several months later, I have accumulated more than 10000 Treatspoints. Can I call Maybank CS to redeem 10000 Treatspoints (as an offset for my prior payment of RM 25 Card Service Tax), and request RM 25 to be credited to my Maybank credit card?

I did just that, during pre-GST era. So, I wonder that whether paying RM 25 Card Service Tax first, and then redeeming 10000 Treatspoints as RM 25 credit to my credit card later is still applicable these days.

Thank you for your confirmation.  thumbup.gif
*
no need confirm. it's already been stated by maybank. if only you do your homework at mbb's sst announcement.

https://www.maybank2u.com.my/iwov-resources...ardsSST_FAQ.pdf

// 12: What is the Service Tax redemption period that we allow for the customer to redeem?
The redemption period is only effective once the Service Tax is charged to the Card Account and up to 3 months period from the date the Service Tax is charged. //

This FAQ under unifi mobile category, does it applicable to unifi home too?
*
unifi home's statement comes from webe, not by tm unifi

currently webe follow tm's rm2 autopay rebate. not sure if webe follow the same removal of the rebate. hmm.gif

Probably this is the sudden decision by TM to cut cost but where is the EDM or SMS? Oops... maybe another budget cut on EDM and SMS laugh.gif
*
takes time to do.

they need to do data massaging, comb thru users, copywrite/approve design and message, prep into sms/edm blaster, blast scheduling cuz cannot blast all in 1 day, etc

technically tm is not removing the whole autopay service, hence no major service impact to existing autopay users.

they just removed the rm2 rebate granting, and that's a minor impact.

My m2visa still appeared in my maybank2u after I cancelled it. I cancelled it 10 days ago. Is there any effect on me?
*
no effect. just annoying seeing those cancelled cards in m2u. give cs a call to remove them. not immediate, but few days.
