Since last week when I bought a Shopee voucher, but I still used Digi credit to pay (as I could top up Digi with >10% discount or FOC from Shopee Garden).

Guys..do any of you have problem when using AMEX to pay on FoodPanda and AirBNB? I have been having this problem since last 2 months.

I called Maybank service centre and they say no problem with the card. And they couldn't even see the transaction attempt that I was talking about in their system. They say could be merchant side problem. But 2 months same issue, I don't think it is merchant's problem.

For my case, I have use Amex with Foodpanda quite many times already and it's a bit tricky. It will always prompt Payment Failed error on first attempt. Spamming the place order button will always failed too.

But I learned to make it work with the steps as follows:

1) Go to your cart and tap the "Place your order" button
2) Payment Failed error will show after the first attempt (usually)
3) Choose to change payment method
4) Edit the entered Amex details but only when the details on the form become incomplete like the photo below. (This is the most important part)



Notice the Name and CVC went missing and the card number only 4 digits. If it still showing your full card details, go back to step #1

5) After you reenter your card details, then tap the Continue button to return back to your cart
6) Try to place the order again. Usually it will work and if it not you may repeat the step above

But again this is for my case but you may give it a try and give some feedback

Lets say I want use credit card to buy something costing RM6k, but this seller cannot accept credit card.

Can I use credit card, topup my TNG, then use TNG transfer to the person?

Then the topup to the TNG, can I request for ezypay 12 months? Please advise

or if there's any other suggestion to using credit card tp transfer money to a seller the cheapest way.. All you suggestion is very much appreciated

The credit card transaction for Shopee digital goods (bill payment, mobile reload, deals) is not under Shopee Malaysia or Shopee pay, but Airpay Malaysia (Visa/MasterCard). Most likely it is not ready for Airpay Malaysia to accept Amex yet.

However, Airpay Malaysia Sdn Bhd is the legal entity in charge of Shopee Pay e-wallet. So I am not sure if "Airpay Malaysia Sdn Bhd Kuala Lumpur MY" is considered an e-wallet (MCC6540) or not. If Airpay Malaysia is under e-wallet, you won't get any CB or reward point from Maybank.
