PIDM extends protection to e-money issuers in trust accounts

FUNDS placed by e-money issuers in trust accounts tied to a banking institution will receive protection from the Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (PIDM).

I frequently use Boost and Paypal because they're available both in Malaysia and other countries. I travel a lot because of my job, so these payment systems are quite practical. However, I don't like that Paypal has a monthly limit with transactions. It's bad that this limit can't be avoided in our country. That's why I have several gaming merchant accounts on different platforms, including skrill and others. That's why I have to use fraud prevention services by one payment gateway company.
P.S. I guess Skrill should be included in the list too because Malaysians also use this wallet.

ShopeePay started late. In the beginning they cater for payment within Shopee app only and if I remember correctly, only last year they started to expand for other online merchants and physical shops.
Perhaps that's the reason why ShopeePay is not included in the survey.

yes the chart is based on respondents to the survey, may be skewed due to individual preference

bnm wont disclose the actual sales number anyway since data is P&C to the ewallet provider.
